People have managed to get TomTom Navigator 5.1 working on the Imate K-jam,
so I don't see why it wouldn't work on the o2 XDA Mini.
TomTom themselves however state they do not (currently) support Windows Mobile 2005

TOM TOM might work on it if you dont multitask. could not try it out yet. However tom tom is not a standart windows application that is delivered with the mashine. You have to buy it or dl it ;)

Skype. Yes here the same. tried to call someone in a wlan and a big lag. Think the whole mashine was busy with it. far away from running smooth. Either the mashine reaches its limits here or maybe with a optimized skype version for win5.0 it might be running better.

EDGE?? yeah right... i am trying that out now with the mini s for the last week and EDGE must be one of these big lies ! At least here in Thailand. Its loading a website in 8kb steps. Someone who tells me, "Yeah great ! Thats EDGE! 120kb/s !" i will smash it right in his face !

No mention in the specs that the O2 XDA mini S supports EDGE facility on O2 GPRS which delivers 236.8 kbps

I tried the skype pocket PC version with the XDA mini S, but it did not work good. Perhaps the processor is too slow.
No real advantage is the sliding keyboard.
The colour of the pictures are not true.
I sell my xda mini s and wait for the next generation called HTC "Hermes".

Trevor, I've dropped you a text.
Could you confirm what software the UK 02 version has bundled please ?
Is the wireless enabled ?
(It's been reported TMobile disable it on their version)
cheers R.

few answers since i researched for days already and i am waiting for this product to arrive in Thailand. Grand opening is announced 24.11. here, and believe me i will be there..
1. The processor is a DUAL CORE 200mhz and cannot be easily compared to the intel. Fast enough for sure, maybe a bit slow with multitasking.
2. Color only silver
3. Keyboard will of course not be german! but adjusted to the selling region !
4. camera is 1.3mp
5. this device supports "edge", means transfers up to 125kb/s with sim card (not sure if avail in india), maybe for you guys it will have a set of bongos included for communication purpose.
4. bluetooth 1.2, or even 2.0, maybe with a2dp profile when shipped or later possible to update. A2dp=Listen to high quality audio over bluetooth with your BT stereo headset (ex. i-tec clip s). And of coure talk over bluetooth.
5. So this device is a pocket pc with internet connection, digicam, videocam, mp3 player w. bluetooth, wifi, voip.
go on complaining why there is no 5mp camera, 50gb harddisk, adsl, 2gh cpu, beamer and microwave integrated. That is probably because you never understood market and product development by global players!

But maybe its just because youre indians, and never shower so smell like garlic, cannot speak understandable english and think youre smart, even 95% of your population lives in extereme poverty !!
Please dont get me wrong, i dont have anything against indian people...i think everybody should have one.
rooight sooir??

for anyone interested in using TomTom with this phone...
"TomTOm 5 is not offically compatible with the JASJAR and K-JAM.
However we have been reliably infomed by a number of customers if works with these units." (Source Expansys support forum)

Overall spec. looks good but speed concerned! Comparing the speed with O2 mini, which one is faster? I saw the cpu just only 195 Mhz. Please advise.

Does anyone know something about its processor output? I mean is it strong enough to play video or accomplish several tasks simmultaneously?

This model is not 3G.
It takes Mini SD cards.
AFAIK they currently only come in 1Gb max.
