Had the Orbit since it was released. Brilliant bit of kit. Was concerned at first with the PDA format for a phone but OK. Yes it does work with Memory Map V5 and the GPS seems to get lock quicker in MM than when using Co-Pilot.

I've just ordered it as a free upgrade with £100 cashback on a £35 a month contract. Can't wait, just need to sort some gps software and TomTom looks like the one. :)

Have had the Orbit for few weeks and this phone/pda is brilliant. Used the Co-Pilot sat nav over the Easter break and it was spot on and above all it's a phone 2!!! Who needs to have a separate sat nav when you can have the ORBIT.

This pda/phone/sat nav handset is awesome. I replaced my sony ericsson k800i and my Garmin Sat nav, with this bad boy.
Yeah, you can charge and use the sat nav in the car at the same time. The o2 website are giving you free copilot sat nav software and car kit with their contracts.
Go for it!!

can any one tell me if they can use gps in the car and charge the phone at the same time so you don't drain the phone battery before you get to you destination? because thats the poblem i had with the first 02 atom i connected to an external bt gps and plugged in the usb car charger and it would not charge the phone at the same time as using the gps what a waste. i know how to go to the shops down the road i need gps to for those long drive to unknown place and if the gps drains the battery you either lost before you get there or you now don't have battery life for making the call that your lost and can't find your way haha lol. so if this is no longer a problem than this is a great device please let me know and i am sure everyone would like to know this.

If you want WLAN, do not consider the N95 (I am returning mine because it and (Symbian OS) do not deliver what the N95 promises. (Also, Skype support, via fring, does not work on X95 and fring were actively unhelpful when I asked why and when). Plus, if you want to log into onto 3rd party WLAN providers in airports etc. (eg iPass, BT, T-Mobile), this capability is not there. Plus the N95 does not charge off a USB cable. Finally, Nokia pays no attention to its users or even its own Forums (others have complained about WLAN support on the X95 on the Nokia Forum - with no response). My first conclusion is that Nokia makes great devices but does not know how to support them. My second conclusion is that a Windows Mobile 5 is the only possible alternative, though these are imperfect also. I am going for a O2 XDA Orbit, even though it does have 3G (waiting for the Zinc or Trion is not worth it because they are SO thivk - 22mm). Good luck.

Does anyone else have problems connecting the handset to their computer? Mine just says 'connecting' and will not sync. Am I missing something? My Exec did ther same thing so I sent it back as I thought it was faulty.

I would bet that most of the o2 customers would have little complaint with the CS.except for u.
1 assistant does not represent all the employees of the company.
funny how wheneva i go to my o2 shop they r realy helpful.
maybe its the customer thats sometimes wrong nt just the assistant.

To the attention of Nour, how did they give it to u for £20? I have the talker tariff, 1000mins 150 text and they only discounted it by £5, to £30, without the satnav!
How would u guys rate the satnav software? is there a beter free/paid alternative out there?
and does it come on a memory card?
Thanks lads

where are you from because in my region my store always has stock and can order stock for you... maybe you came into your nearest store being ignorant and arrogant, they did not feel they had to put up with... why bother going to a store when you buy it off ebay anyway??? In my experience 9 out of 10 faultys are customers stupidity or heavy handedness or liquid damage or not faults at all. . . I would like to see you go anywhere else like 3 or t-mobile and get wat you want perfectly

Oh, and the O2 shop never has anything in stock (I live near two O2 shops in the largest shopping mall in Europe)
They very rarely stock stylii, spare batteries, cases or chargers for the XDA series, but are very quick to provide excuses, blank stares and off the cuff insults free of charge.
