Azo, 23 Mar 2025Which have better Resale Vivo or Oneplus? I don't know. I don't sell my phones. I use them for about 3 years and then I give them to one of my relatives to use or I keep them as a backup.

Don't get me wrong, the photos on the 1+ are at a very high level. I'm not a serious gamer, but from what I've read, Snapdragon does a lot better than Mediatek with emulations.

Anonymous, 22 Mar 2025Latest video of with battery test comparisoins https://www... moreOh, you're just drawing your conclusions from a single clip by some dude on YouTube... Great. You know that comparisons are made in a very specific way with very specific applications so that the end result is "the one you're looking for"?
What do you think, for example, about this video where the phones are tested on 5G only?
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=K3VvcrVCrjo&t=0s
It's strange why Vivo doesn't beat everyone again?
Here, for example, the final results are different again:
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwLtZ_y1Zqc
Don't draw your conclusions just from one clip. Look for opinions from people who actually use the phone.
Here are a few questions about the clip you shared:
            1) Are all phones tested straight out of the box? Or some of them or all of them used for at least 30 days so that the phone can "adjust" to your way of using it?
            2) After testing an application, does it close completely or does it remain running in the background? I ask because Apple is known for not having multitasking and killing everything that is running in the background. This is not the case with Android phones.
            3) Why is there no data during the test whether all processors and video cards are working at max or some of the phones are throttling. In case you don't know, throttling reduces the frequencies of the processor, video card, etc. in order to reduce the heat generated. And guess what, this reduces consumption. Because as I look at it, it is the phones with the smallest cooling chambers that sit the coolest under heavy loads, while the others reach even 60 degrees. Do you understand how this can happen with a phone that has a small cooling chamber?
            4) And since I was wondering if everything is working at max, here's another interesting video to see how iPhone and Samsung do their battery "optimizations" and why they get "great" results with smaller batteries:
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07FRuS67iD8
Guess again which one uses more battery. The one that is always at max or the one that sits at reduced capabilities and gradually reaches the maximum?

This is one of the small things that I was talking about, "the small things", the day to day "user experience", which OnePlus failed to master.

Anyone here concerned about the fact that Oneplus 13 has a default DPI of 411 and it is making everything on the screen too big. I have set the phone to smallest display size and smallest font, still everything is sooooo huge to look at. For example, the news feed on left side of home screen, amazon shopping app, etc. I know I can change the DPI in Developer options, but turning that ON makes all my banking apps go haywire and refuse to open citing security concerns. A phone with a screen as big as OP 13 shouldn't have such huge UI elements.

If you think that 5 ins... moreI’ve switched phones plenty of times but never trusted transfer tools, always set things up from scratch. Tried it this time, and it worked surprisingly well, which makes sense since it’s an Android feature, not brand specific.

What’s frustrating is that OnePlus shows the lock screen message but doesn’t let users set or edit it! If they won’t let uses set or edit this then why showing it? Also noticed small but obvious issues that proper testing should’ve caught. These little things say a lot about a company’s culture. I really hope OnePlus stays strong—they still make great-value flagships.

Unfortunate about your surveillance system issues—updates sometimes break software, and vendors need to keep up.

If you think that 5 inscriptions that are shown to you in another language are a bigger problem than not being able to receive notifications and watch the cameras that you use to protect your property, then there's nothing to talk about.
I don't know why you transfer everything from one brand of phone to another brand of phone and expect everything to work like on the old phone. There's no way things can be identical like applications, settings options, fonts, etc... That's why only the files are transferred. You set up and install everything else manually so that it doesn't happen like you describe.
And I'm writing this from experience after similar transfer attempts that I've made:
                              From Samsung to 1+

I transferred everything from my pixel to my new OnePlus 13 during phone setup and it also transferred the lock screen message "{MyName}'s Pixel". This is now shown in my OnePlus lock screen and I learned that there's no way to change it in OxygenOS 15. My OnePlus 13 now identifies itself as a pixel in the lock screen forever!
