If anyone else is as paranoid as you then all they have to do is go to Settings/Advanced and switch OFF the option 'Join user experience program'.
It doesn't bother me because I have nothing to hide, but it certainly sounds as if you have.

No doubt few mobile phone companies r collecting ur mobile data like ur personal information, activities like ur locations where you went, contact nos etc. even many popular brands r doing this practice which is illegal and prohibited.
Recently, it has been observed by the security researchers that OnePlus smart phone is running on Oxygen Operating system, which regularly collects user identification information and sends it to OnePlus servers located outside your respective country and might be possible gives to intelligence agencies.
OnePlus collects the following user data;
1-User’s phone number. 2-Users movement. 3-Media Access Control (MAC) Address. 4-IMEI and IMSI Code. 5-Mobile Network(s) names. 6-Wireless network ESSID and BSSID. 7-Device Serial Number. 8-Timestamp when a user locks or unlocks the device. 9-Timestamp when a user opens and closes an application on this phone.
9-Timestamp when a user turns his phone screen on or off.
It is advised that please avoid using this brand or in order to disable data collecting practice.

Kanika Jain, 09 Dec 2017Which is better iphone 7 or OP5thard to explain... These phones are about equal in terms of fotos. The iphone 7 has IP rating, not the oneplus 5T. But the oneplus 5T is faster in every level and plays gamer smoother.
IOS is nice but i like the diversity of android.
I've gone with the oneplus 5T and never regret since. Gotta love that screen and it's beast performance. Not even once it crashed or hiccup'd. Its butter smooth.
We only complain about the cameras but what we forget, it's a 500$ phone and we just can't have the same quality pictures result of higher priced smartphones which have OIS.
But still, for 500$ it's one heck of a masterpiece.

Tell me another phone that has succeeded with only EIS like Google. Oneplus 5 would have been great with OIS.

AnonD-722661, 15 Dec 2017worst phone company i have dealt with. the phones touch scr... moreOther companies are no different. A few years ago I purchased a Samsung S5 which failed after 4 months; it wouldn't make or receive calls/texts, and every time I reset the phone a message appeared 'No network available' (I learned that it was an antenna failure which was a common problem on that phone). I sent the phone off to Samsung's repair centre and it was returned with the same problem. I contacted Samsung and told them that as they were unable to repair the phone then they were obliged to replace it under their 24 month warranty. Samsung stopped talking to me at that point and I have never purchased a Samsung phone since.

worst phone company i have dealt with. the phones touch screen stopped working after 6 months of having the phone which has never been dropped or water damaged. the support staff kept telling me to do a hard reset when i mentioned countless times that you need a working touchscreen to do this.
the phone was then approved after 3 days of their staff telling me to do a reset. i requested my phone data not to be wiped as it had important photos of my son on there.
i have not had an appology for this matter and keep being disregarded when speaking to customer service.
i will never buy a oneplus again and advise everyone to stay well away. huwawei, samsung and google pixel will be my choices in the future.
NEVER SETTLE - should change this to settle for will junk

Yeah, OIS would always be better than EIS but google also used EIS in their previous flagship and it was great for them... Shhzd amar, 13 Dec 2017Its not exactly better than OIS but on par with OIS... Electric image stabilization is sh¡t mate, OnePlus using planned obsolescence strategy to lure customers to buy their products without thinking. It's like the whole mobile tech industry following New World Order or something and expect us to buy their phones with dumb 18.9 ratio screen, EIS, no IP rating etc...
