I've had a OnePlus5t since launch.
Good Things:
-It's really fast and far more responsive than even newer Android phones.
-I updated to Oreo and it didn't break anything.
-No issues with any particular apps.
-I use this phone for work. I RDP back to my desktop with the Microsoft RDP app, use Slack, have two different email addresses (exchange and IMAP) running, google calendar notifications, etc. Along with all my regular stuff and it all works.
-Screen is excellent.
-Feel is excellent.
-Battery Life is very good, and the proprietary DASH charger really does charge the phone very quickly even compared to most quick chargers.
-Fingerprint scanner is convenient and fast/accurate.
Bad things:
-Screen isn't terribly difficult to scratch. Being in my pocket with nothing else got it a couple very fine (only noticeable under lighting conditions that specifically make it impossible to read the phone) scratches after a few months.
-Accessory market sucks. There are two good cases- a Spigen case and a Beetle Unicorn case. All the others don't fit right or are knockoff junk. Fast charger is proprietary and kinda expensive. All the screen protectors minus the plastic one that's part of the Beetle Unicorn case are cheap knock-off garbage that don't fit right or have bad adhesive.
-No waterproofing or water resistance outside of the phone not really having many holes for it to get into. Not a deal breaker since most phones don't survive a caseless drop anyway but still.
-You need to carefully janitor your notification settings because on full silent mode my phone wasn't even vibrating half the time for phone calls and messages.
-Camera is mediocre, particularly compared to newer iPhones, some Motos, and the Galaxy series. Weakest part of the hardware IMO. It's plenty good enough for general use.
-Outside of having the best guts you can put in a phone outside of the camera, and having a face unlock I don't trust enough to use, the phone has very little in the way of bells and whistles if you're into that sort of thing.
-Auto-rotate can be touchy. I've used phones that are far far far worse about it though so it doesn't really bother me much though.

You should avoid this device. Check Google... it is full of comments of missing notification and ringtones. Big has been there for about a year and no fix. When someone calls you you'll miss it. Same for messages. Amazing, but true. Do not buy!

1, Auto screen rotation isn't stable still i kept off because of its sensitivity
2, whatsapp incoming call will be still ring if Don't disturb is ON because it doesn't recognize whatsapp maybe other apps too because I am only use whatsapp.
3, if you need don't disturb mood auto On/off you need to install Don't Disturb apps from google play store
4, when you are on SIM calls yours SIM network will be stop working if your carrier doesn't support VOLET or if support but some famous brands like my carrier doesn't support OP
5, I installed a truck game on it but that graphic blur, road is black and blinking, then i installed same game on my nephew 's Xiaomi mi 6 which is very cheap with mediatek helio chip, but game is working very well and showing nice graphic, 100% better then my OP 5T
6, in right hand while hearing calls and need to adjust volume I always feel difficult to press volume key because of left side, another problem is both buttons volume and power, are on same angle so my thumb also press power button too.
Rest of above mentioned, this phone is very nice, smooth, fast, and quality product.

My one plus 5T mobile's loud speaker stopped working. I don't know the exact reason for it. But, recently it got dropped accidentally from my bed , it had a strong casebox. That was the first time it got dropped. What might be the reason for this failure ??

How is the selfies cam fared against ai powered vivo's and oppo's ai powered vivo's and oppo's phones? Does it produces good shots in dark as well from front cam, as it doesn't have front led.

I'm looking at potentially getting the 1+5T, 1+6 or maybe even the Nex S. For price the 5T would probably best but was just wondering if people with experience using these phones could give me an honest opinion of them.

got mine yesterday. Best phone so far, and still one of the best value for money phones out there, now that the 6 model has come out, makes even more sense to get one :)
