But for about half the price the poccophone does an insane job to keep up with the 6t. I just bought a 6t, so close to gettng the pocco but in the end I thought i'd invest in a phone that'll last for years.

OP6 User, 06 Dec 2018Oneplus 6T or Galaxy S9 Plus with almost the same price? If price is same than S9 plus all the way. The S9 plus is the best flagship smartphone I would say of 2018.
Advantages of OP 6t over S9+
1. Faster Android updates
2. Bigger battery
3. Dash Charging
Advantages of S9+ over OP 6t
1. Much better display with higher resolution and HDR 10.
2. Much better photos and videos with the primary camera with HDR recording support.
3. A useful secondary camera the OP 6t is almost useless.
4. Better design and looks along with IP 68 rating.
5. Headphone jack, stereo speakers.
6. Micro SD card slot.
7. Wireless charging.
8. After sales support of Samsung is much better than Oneplus.
Overall if priced the same there is no reason to buy the 6T also the S9+ is received the pie update in some regions now. The 6T was never a flagship just a flagship killer but when the flagships are getting price drops to it's levels the killer itself gets killed.

T-mobile appears to only have the 8GB RAM, 128GB storage version available in Midnight Black, but I don't have a problem with that. It appears fast enough to be a decent replacement for my Windows 10 device, which routinely beat out iPhones and Galaxy units. With Windows pulling a "Betamax" on us, it looks like I finally have to choose between Android and IOS, both of which I detest............
