So I bought my OnePlus 6T yesterday and got a backpack, laptop case, t-shirts, hoodie, 4 phone cases, cap, some kind of a handbag for free. That was a pretty good deal haha anyway phone is so smooth and that charging definitely saves your time. I always thought that it's gonna be huge but apparently, I can even text with one hand. So far I can definitely recommend it

Carl, 02 Nov 2018I'm looking to upgrade from my Galaxy S8+, would this be a ... more Next year is the prime time of upgrading as they release the new Snapdragon 855 chipset..samsung s10/plus would be the first smartphone to received one,like always and followed by other manufacturers...march should be the s10/plus release,april should be sony phones and followed by oneplus in may,so thats your option if you didnt want samsung..if you didnt want to wait you can also go for the new mate20/x/pro,the first smartphone with their new kirin 980 chipset...they only release a new chipset every november so you will have their best chipset for the longest period of time,which is 1 year(manufactures release new chipset every year,so people rather wait for the new ones than buying the current one if its less than 6 month)..i recommend to stay away from xiaomi as theres alot of complaints about touch problems on their phones,so better not risk it

Larger memory and ram (if you get 256gb version, otherwise it's same)
A bit larger screen but shittier resolution. 1080p (1+) against 1440p. (s8+)
Better front camera (I guess?)
Better CPU (people say it's much better than 835 but it actually isn't THAT much)
3700mah battery instead of 3500mah battery. (Not sure how it compares but I think battery life would be better with 1080p display instead of 1440p.
Gorilla glass 6, instead of 5.
Android 9.0 from box.
What you're losing: (oh boy, here we go again)
USB 2.0 instead of USB 3.1
No headphone jack.
No SD card.
No second sim.
It's heavier.
Same LTE speeds (for an upgrade, right?)
No Iris Scanner
No heart rate
No Samsung DeX

I can say oxygen OS as fast as iOS, I don't know other android room. Nice experience

I'm looking to upgrade from my Galaxy S8+, would this be a good phone to switch too? I'm not happy with the lack of updates Samsung hasn't put out. My phone seems to be slowing down and I'm forced to reset to fectory default every couple months to bring it back up to speed. Not to mention the OS is just laggy and slow. Apps keep crashing or hanging up. Not to mention the battery life isnt great and only seems to be getting worse. I work 8-12 a day. Im rarely on my phone throughout the day. I use it to play music while I'm delivering parts to accounts, but that's maybe 1hour of use at most.

Not the least of which is for photographers who need to quickly move large photos between devices. My workflow in the field has me taking thousands of RAW photos on heavy equipment, transferring them to a laptop for processing and transferring them to a phone for easy syncing to the could so they can be used immediately by collaborators. A non-SD phone is a showstopper for me. Workarounds/cables are very error-prone and add additional time that I don't have.

Micro SD cards are also very unreliable, as many have found out the hard way. In a few years we might have 1Tb internal storage on some of the high end flagship phones.
