We're in October 2022 and still no Android 12 update, latest security patch is June.
My phone is like new, just shorter battery life, the SD 855 is still very capable in 2022, but OnePlus software team abandoned us.

I have not still received update of Android 12 its September 9 amd still not able to update My one plus 7 to Android 12 can i know when the Android 12 update will be available bcz i am living in Kuwait 🇰🇼 GCC county but i am hoping it to get

I am currently running OxygenOS 12 open beta 1 on my OnePlus 7 and I am surprisingly very satisfied. I use it as my daily driver and everything is working fine, mobile payments work fine, everything is smooth and battery life is same as latest OSS11 stable. They basically took ColorOS base and did very good job transforming it into clean, smooth, nice, well working variant of Oxygen OS. The homescreen onehand gesture is a very smart and nice feature. I like OOS12 open beta 1 much more than OOS10/11.

I wonder if this phone will receive an Android 12 OS update. It'll be a shame if it isn't because SD 855 is still a plenty capable chipset in 2022.

This is a beautiful phone being perfect in every aspect. Using it for the last 3 years, never encountered a lag but OnePlus has worsened all of their OnePlus phones with the Oxygen OS 11 Update. The OnePlus 7 never used to heat up while charging in Oxygen OS 10
when I upgraded to Oxygen OS 11 the phone heats up to 43 degrees celsius. And this happens two times during charging. Battery drains much quicker than in Oxygen OS 10. Hope to see better software optimisations in the future along with these issues fixed. Durability too is pretty good.Happy to see this phone is eligible for Oxygen OS 12

Purchased a used one in great condition for 316$ last year August. Great experience so far. Here's what I feel is great about the phone.
1. Sound quality is crazy good it's punchier than many other costlier phones and stereo effect is great.
2. Display quality is amazing. Screen color calibration/turning is done exceptionally well which is not the case for most OP phones.
3. Also the size is great I think. Battery backup was great but since the last update 11.0.2 it's worsened
