geko95gek-XDA, 24 Apr 2022No surprises there. OnePlus cs is trash.It really is. Apparently my case was too "difficult" for them to handle and they had to escalate my case to "level 3 support" and there I finally met someone who actually helped me.

Definitely will not a OP again, both because of crappy cs and because they settled.

      This might be one of the best phones ever. Owned for 2 years, never had a single problem because I stayed on OOS10 which was very stable. Since you can easily buy this phone used / refurbished in the US from $175 to $250 this will absolutely be a better option compared to a brand new phone that costs about the same. Only problem I can see is no 3.5mm jack compared to those cheaper phones.

          UPDATE: It pains me to contradict myself, but I take back all the positive things I've said about this phone in this thread.

          Unfortunately within less than two months of usage, the display is already starting to exhibit ghost touches. And if that wasn't bad enough, horizontal green lines started to appear on the screen and now the display doesn't even work half of the time. And this was a BRAND NEW phone I bought from the OFFICIAL OnePlus store on Aliexpress!!!!!

          As expected, AliExpress customer service was pathetic. Seller didn't do anything to help. They refused to accept responsibility, and only offered a laughable $8 coupon. Absolutely f@#king ridiculous.

          Then I contacted customer service directly from the OnePlus website, and the man said I could get it repaired for free. So I sent it to a repair shop free of charge, only for them to say they can't repair it because they don't have the European motherboard in stock (???)

          They said they'd ship me a OnePlus 8 Pro if I paid for the OP7Pro motherboard ($430), but guess what? They don't even let me keep the OP7Pro!!! So I lost $500 and yet they want me to pay another $430??? LMFAO what an absolute scam.

          Absolutely the WORST experience I've ever had with a phone and OnePlus customer service. Period. Fk OnePlus honestly. 🤬🤬🤬

          P.S. Not hating on the phone itself. I really would've loved this phone if this never happened.

              Custom ROM is the way to go.

                        Bought my phone on Launch day and battery is still going super strong at the end of 2021using 90hz with full resolution. I'm not a super heavy user, but a do play a few games, listen to music, and text a lot. I typically get 2 days out of it with it being around 10-20% by day two.
                        If I don't touch it, I'll easily get 3.5 days before having to charge. Love the popup camera for face unlock without having a dot on my screen.
                        Buying my wife a OnePlus 9 for New Years/Late Xmas present only because cricket wireless is discontinuing LTE so her Sony wont work anymore as of February 2022.

                          Update: I bought this in May 2021 and have only begun using it recently, but the battery life doesn't seem too great. I can only get like 3-4 hours SOT with 90hz and QHD selected. Hopefully I can improve it with custom ROMs and kernels.

                                  how about the 11.0.4.1 update ? anything fixed or it is just a security update ?
                                  I am yet to get the update.

                                    This phone is amazing and it got the best cellphone award of the year 2019 by MKBHD. I bought it in Sept 2021 and since then its working smoothly. Hope to get android 12 :)

I assumed they were selling old units to get rid of the remaining stock, but apparently the box says that the phone was only manufactured around January 2021.

                                      I was pleasantly surprised to hear that as that is so recent. That means I'm getting a fresh new battery.
