I was in contract with OnePlus Support asking if they are selling different HW variants. They told me that for the OnePlus 8 Pro (I did only ask for this one) there is no HW difference.
Gsmarena is listing different 5G band support. Where is this information taken from? Is it depending on the firmware?

AlexP, 24 Apr 2020Why did you return it?I don't feel a major difference VS 7T pro that I had in the past. 5G option was no longer in the menu and limited vowifi support is a deal breaker for me. I thought that with 5G they will, at least, have wider support for volte and vowifi. I needed those features and 1000 Euros for it is not cheap either. When you ask customer suppor which networks they support they cannot answer. They don't have the info (I'm talking vowifi). With 7Pro I was using PDC to activate different profiles but eventually now decided that for this price point I get more with other phones such as MI 10 Pro.

[deleted post]Oh wait sorry I didn't mean to reply to you, I meant to reply to the "mobileman" guy. I saw his reply first right under the specs sheet where some of the opinions are shown and clicked reply on your comment thinking his was the most recent one when it was actually yours.

Also the processor is Exynos which is above average compared to Snapdragon. Oneplus 8 pro is a better buy based spec to price ratio but the phone is too big for anyone which is big issue. The curved screen is a big issue too. It doesn't support VoLTE?any proof?

Ultimate Reviewer, 23 Apr 20205G is "patchy" BECUASE it barely aviable anywhere. Ofc you... moreIn many cases you need to input the 5G settings for many networks (they add one by one) and we are getting to the same situations with volte, when OP will not support many networks. I am not talking coverage but compatibility. Please try to understand the difference. It is not about what YOU can use but what the device supports. It is not HATE it is an observation. You like it or you don't, that is not my problem.

AlexP, 23 Apr 2020You are not RealisticCan you please comment to the point if you have something to say related to the device and my point of view?
It you manage to find a list of supported networks in terms of vowifi please share and then let's compare with the mainstream brand. If not, please refrain.
