Hey!
I'm not sure, if I should buy an Oneplus 8T or an Oneplus 7 Pro, because on one hand the Oneplus 8T has 5g, a slightly better performance and battery life and its cheaper. But on the other hand the Oneplus 7 Pro has a slightly better display and a hugely better camera, but it doesn't has a AOD and I worry about issues with the water resistance because of the retractable front camera. So, it seems to me like there are plenty of reasons why to buy a Oneplus 8T, because the camera isn't that important to me. But I'm not 100% sure. Could you please tell me your opinion about that in the answers?

                Any users experiencing bugs and lags and severe battery drain without 5G and 120 hz enabled, i am running on 60 and it still drains is it a common problem?

                    Feel like these people air updates without even testing it. OP community piled up with complaints. And those who had updated warning others not to update.
                    They don't fix any of the main issues of the users. I'm fed up with complaining to them to enable 5G mode in this phone. Every time fake promises, with the next update it will be fixed. Now I don't have any hope in them. No 5G, no VoLTE, no VoWiFi!!

I contacted OnePlus technical help forum, send enormous emails to them enquiring about the issue. Everytime their default answer was "it will come with the next OTA update, but cannot guarantee any time frame"!!
                          After that two OTA updates came and none could rectify the problem. When I raised the issue first to a OnePlus toll free number, their response was to raise this issue in OnePlus forum. So then I put this topic on the OnePlus community forum, then only I found that not only 8T but other OP 5G branded phone users also have the same problem, and they had been raising this issue for almost an year and no solution!!
                          The annoying thing I found was, there are so called "bug hunters" who come up with quick solutions for our problems. A layman who has been titled as "bug hunter" by OP gave a brilliant solution when I explained the whole issue in detail. His response was to save the log file here and there and then send that to him. I did send the log files out of pretext that he could find a solution for that. I didn't receive any reply for that, so I messaged him enquiring about it and his second solution was "reset" the device!!
                          This is a pure software upgradation issue and for that he is giving me some utopian ideas. I found out from the forum that for other issues raised by other members on the forum also this "bug hunter" has one solution, log the files and reset the device!!
                          I bought 8T for the sole purpose of getting 5G and was deceived by OP!!

                            I have bought this phone last week , there is operating problem which is phone getting auto re start after using some times , also have seen reviewed comments in many page that maximum user facing same problem . Don't know when issues will be solved properly

                              Nick, 26 Dec 2020OnePlus cheating it's customers by selling phones in t... moreVery true .I bought this phone 2 weeks ago ,the phone is good in every way for me and I was satisfied until I found out about the 5G issue .The phone is 5G ready ( oneplus claims that ) yet you can't use 5G on it . there is no 5g option in network type ( only 2G/3G/4G ).Regarding that ,I called my service carrier and asked him about the issue and he confirmed to me that 5G is activated on my sim card and coverage is excellent in my area and there is no problem from their side .After that I contacted Oneplus support and they responded: " The 5G network has not yet been enabled with a lot of carries , so please we request you to wait " . that answer made me angry ,How the **** do they sell a phone and claiming it's 5G while 5G is not enabled in their phone's software.I'm very upset and I feel like I got deceived.

                                OnePlus cheating it's customers by selling phones in the name of 5G phones but no 5G services available due to unsupported software.
                                It's been many months now and they couldn't fix the problem with an OTA update.
                                The hardware of the phone supports 5G bands provided by the service provider, but it's software is incompatible.
                                Last time when I enquired about it they admitted that they couldn't yet fix the problem so far and is working on it !!

                                  In my country ( Bulgaria) this phone is expensive, almost the same price like Samsung S20 for example.
