Under display finger print scanner is a deal breaker to me, way to fidgety compared to rear scanners. No thanks.

Is always easy to complain but why there is no wireless charging in this device, this is one of the most exiting thing that is about to get mainstream with the implantation on IPhones and Oneplus is skipping one of the few good implement in phone... I'm currently looking for a phone in this budget, but every phone has an issue...

Wireless charging would be nice, but definitely not a must have, since warp charge is fast enough. If don't get IP rating, 5G on my network and 3.5 jack, why would I want 8T. I'm getting 7T. For my it's a big jump from 5T anyway.

Especially typing becomes very irritating on a small phone, no matter how good SwiftKey/any other keyboard is. Used to be around 6" minimum with the 16:9 ratio, years ago, but now this 6.55" sounds pretty good. Could be bigger, though. Like a "Plus" variant along with this small one.

The fact that a Snapdragon 865 is built into the OnePlus 8T is a great thing in view of the retail price: After all, it is one of the fastest SoCs currently available. On the other hand, the 865 Plus would of course have been the faster choice.

ARM expects the first SoC designs with Cortex-A78 and Cortex-X1 in the next few months, both of which are expected to reach up to 3 GHz using the 5 nm process.

Otherwise, only Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 Plus on its single Prime Core, 3.2 GHz, achieves such a high clock rate.

                Snapdragon 875 and 875 Plus GHz ?

                150 +. Watts ?

Only if this phone was smaller and lighter and if it had 3.5mm it would be perfect. Even without 3.5mm.
Am I the only one who needs smaller good phones in Android world? Like the Apple did with 12 mini.

one good thing happening to Oneplus is Power Delivery (around 30W for 8T). that is critical as seriously, there's no chance to find Warp charger anywhere but home. So when you need it most (traveling), you will charge SLOW thanks to lack of QC or at least fast PD.

As i don't see reason to upgrade from 7T, still nothing new introduced except Qi (FINALLY), here's the plan for OnePlus9:
                      - SMALL / LIGHT model with Qi and nothing lacking from Pro model. Lighter model should not mean crippled features. Not everyone wants "Ultra" heavy bricks
                      - bump Warp to 1000W or whatever, can't care less, PD or QC numbers will count! i'm ready with PD 65W chargers and willing to add more to existing QC4 collection, but i will never ever convert to Warps because it's tied to one brand only. Tired of slow 10W charging in practice! Pay the charging license to the CPU vendor you use(!), instead of IP license if needed, so we can also fast Qi charge!

They improved the refresh rate (90Hz was good enough), they doubled the charging speed (wireless charging would have been better), and lastly added a fourth useless camera to make up numbers. No reason to buy this over the original 8, and that is still a hard sell with much better options out there like their own Nord just for starters.

Unfortunately, there is no OnePlus 8T Pro this year. The OnePlus 8 Pro is still a highly-competitive flagship, and OnePlus CEO himself stated on Twitter that the One Plus 8 Pro leaves no room for upgrading as of now.

I'm enjoying the OP8T so far. It's a big improvement over my OP3T for sure.

I'm not into the wireless charging feature at all. Even if I tried it once, I'll still charge my phone wired usb type C charging.
