ARM expects the first SoC designs with Cortex-A78 and Cortex-X1 in the next few months, both of which are expected to reach up to 3 GHz using the 5 nm process.
Otherwise, only Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 Plus on its single Prime Core, 3.2 GHz, achieves such a high clock rate.
Snapdragon 875 and 875 Plus GHz ?
150 +. Watts ?

Only if this phone was smaller and lighter and if it had 3.5mm it would be perfect. Even without 3.5mm.
Am I the only one who needs smaller good phones in Android world? Like the Apple did with 12 mini.

Very insignificant number of people are really require that degree of protection, among them military, spies, police, emergency personnel, etc. And all those professions can use special protected models. Why in a hell rest 99% consumers suffer from lack of functionality caused by need to remove it for sake of

one good thing happening to Oneplus is Power Delivery (around 30W for 8T). that is critical as seriously, there's no chance to find Warp charger anywhere but home. So when you need it most (traveling), you will charge SLOW thanks to lack of QC or at least fast PD.
As i don't see reason to upgrade from 7T, still nothing new introduced except Qi (FINALLY), here's the plan for OnePlus9:
- SMALL / LIGHT model with Qi and nothing lacking from Pro model. Lighter model should not mean crippled features. Not everyone wants "Ultra" heavy bricks
- bump Warp to 1000W or whatever, can't care less, PD or QC numbers will count! i'm ready with PD 65W chargers and willing to add more to existing QC4 collection, but i will never ever convert to Warps because it's tied to one brand only. Tired of slow 10W charging in practice! Pay the charging license to the CPU vendor you use(!), instead of IP license if needed, so we can also fast Qi charge!

They improved the refresh rate (90Hz was good enough), they doubled the charging speed (wireless charging would have been better), and lastly added a fourth useless camera to make up numbers. No reason to buy this over the original 8, and that is still a hard sell with much better options out there like their own Nord just for starters.

Unfortunately, there is no OnePlus 8T Pro this year. The OnePlus 8 Pro is still a highly-competitive flagship, and OnePlus CEO himself stated on Twitter that the One Plus 8 Pro leaves no room for upgrading as of now.

I'm enjoying the OP8T so far. It's a big improvement over my OP3T for sure.
I'm not into the wireless charging feature at all. Even if I tried it once, I'll still charge my phone wired usb type C charging.

With the 8T OnePlus officially lost its way.
My next phone would - for the first time in quite a few years - not be a OnePlus.

Erinaceus, 18 Oct 2020Even if they never had SD card slot, that is still not excu... moreThe flaw is that it didn't come with wireless charging (regardless of PoV of charging methods). Many mid-range SammySungs have it, Google 5 has it, and even the el-cheapo iPhone SE 2020. We know where the IP ratings are going. esims, wireless headset/charging, no SD card ... soon no vectors to help water get in. Also the SD cards are not that great actually. I have burned through so many - not the same quality as the internal. I will say though that MINIMUM must be 128GB and all phone providers should give you up to 512GB. I am in Canada and except for iPhones, most carriers offer phones with the lowest memory. Have to go to BestBuy to get the higher amounts.

Got this OP 8T 2 days back... I recommend ppl to go for this blindly. Coz it is having a solid body and all other great features... OP really came out with a wonderful product which is a great value for money.. samsung would have been a tough competition if it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 in that...OP missed minor features like 500ppi, waterproof.. wireless charger etc... But it's okay

I rather would buy S20 in this price range, depends on where you live, but atleast S20 is a flagship not this sandwich... Camera poop, no wireless charging, no card slot, no ip rating... Even if S20 has weaker SoC it is still a flagship and it has enough power for anything.
