NehVi, 22 Jul 2020Hello! I'm looking to buy a new phone, and I'm t... moreI think Realme 6 Pro is a better option, value for money, bigger camera, better battery life, + a 12 MP, f/2.5, 54mm (telephoto), 1/3.4", 1.0µm, PDAF, 2x optical zoom, though the processor is SD 720G, still quite capable. if you want to save $100, then 6 Pro is better, but if a $100 means nothing to you then you can go for better devices than the One Plus Nerd, (Yes, Nerd, I mean it)

Functionality wise they both are neck and neck. So, Realme chips in here for budget offer.
But Nord has better display, camera, build quality, polished software experience. If you are not too tightened up in budget, it is worth to go for it.

Ugly and useless dual punch hole cameras on the front, just UFS2.1 and that 2019 design form.

A little bit overprice compare to Poco F2 Pro (SD 865, UFS 3.1, 64MP main camera but no OIS, 4700 maH battery, about USD 30 higher than Nord, headphone jack, no Notch, 163 mm / 6,67 inch, and standard refresh rate).
But when it compares to LG Velvet (167 mm / 6,8 inch, standard refresh rate, same CPU, almost same memory configuration, only 3 rear camera with no OIS on 48MP main camera, stereo speaker and headphone jack, 4300 maH battery, but more than USD 300 higher than Nord), then this phone win easily...

NehVi, 22 Jul 2020Hello!
I'm looking to buy a new phone, and I'm t... moreRealne X2 Pro. You don't need Half baked 5G, a 90hz display that is bad because the chip can't keep up, Macro and Depth camera.
Realme X2 Pro has better charging, build quality, stereo speakers, headphone jack, cameras, screen, and performance. But you lose the 5G and ultrawide selfie cam. Pick the X2 Pro

The ads to hype up this Nord certainly made this smartphone very popular. But some people is disappointed with the specs, i can understand that. TBH, i'm also eagerly waiting for this phone to launch, seen the live AR launch yesterday by another reviewer, and watch the hands on unboxing, to decide whether this phone would be my next phone. IMO, it's almost the perfect midranger, just like everyone else.
IMO:
Cons, no expandable storage, no 3.5mm jack and pill shaped front camera (i think those 3 are what most people disappointed with the phone).
Pros, 5G, OIS camera, smooth 90hz display, almost stock Android experience, AMOLED (screen burn in? anyone?).
Was guessing the price would be $350 for the 8/128gb version (to compete with the iPhone SE 2020), but it came out as RS27999 (roughly translates to $380 and the rough estimated price would be RM1799-2099.00 in Malaysia). In that price bracket, last year's SD855 flagship comes to mind. Yeah, 5G argument bla bla bla, IDK about other country, but i think our country is 5G ready yet in the next 2 or so years, especially in my place (even fiber internet takes years to be available here.) So there's that.
Don't get me wrong, for anyone that have the money and but don't want to dish out everything on a flagship 5G, this is still a good device to own (if you have the money for this, surely you can afford any decent TWS earphone, right?)
Lastly, i doubt my opinion matters, maybe i'm typing this because i'm one of those disappointed people. If there's no upcoming device that has more to offer (decently priced too, of course), maybe i still go for this Nord.
This is nice in a way tho', now i'm ready to be disappointed with the upcoming #whenwillitbeavailable? Pixel 4a. LMAO.
