Definitely way better antenna than my previous Poco X3 Pro, also quick tip: buy screen protector as soon as possible, i use the one that came pre-installed on phone and there is already quite a lot of scratches so be sure to order screen protector because original one is quite bad. I recommend you watch Tech Spurt review on the Reno12Pro so you can get a better idea on the phone if it's for you. And btw Netflix thing is fixed.

One question: How has network reception strength so far been on your Reno? Does Oppo's Link Boost actually work or is it marketing bs only?

Sure, it is 25-30% slower on the GPU side, but in total Antutu V10 score and in the CPU score specifically, it is close to the SD 8s Gen 3.

If OP were going to give such a long software support then they should've given SD8sG3 atleast, this mid-range chipset will slow down the phone after 3 major OS updates probably

What I said was that people see the name "Mediatek" as not trustworthy despite how good their SOC's have been for the last three years.

What a ... moreI bought Oppo Reno12 Pro, best phone you can get with SD Card slot in Europe in 2024, besides Sony Xperia 1 VI but that costs 1500€ while Reno12 Pro 512GB variant costed me 450€. I've been using Reno12 Pro for 2 weeks now and it's great, absolute no overheat even in direct sunlight (32C°) watching YT at full brightness, screen is also amazing, you almost don't have bezels 90% screen to body ratio is very good, also battery is outstandingly great, i watch a lot of YT, Reddit, some games and it still lasts for 2 days, perfect phone for me. For performance it didn't lagged once and i already got 1 Software Update.

                      1. Budget devices have the same camera sensor

                      2. Worst throttling and stability I've ever seen on recent phones. This is not at all a budget phone, mind you.

                      3. As usual OnePlus cuts cost by not providing proper certifications for streaming apps

                      4. Beautiful design identity and interesting choice to go with metal but this SoC is not at all made for metal body which tends to get hotter more faster than a plastic body.

                      5. This phone could be another Nord 3

No Dolby, No Dolby Atoms, and Netflix even doesn't support HDR 10 playback. Certainly this phone is not for multimedia players.

A gcam port might be able to salvage the camera. Poco F6 suddenly feels like a very good device now.

MediaTek sells many more processors than Qualcomm. Bad mediatek Maybe just happen in your mind, not the rest people in this world lol. Snapdragon fans always hilarious af.

OpposedScroll75, 16 Jul 2024The name "Mediatek" immediately makes the product... moreThe major reason for nord 3 flop is bad optimisation by oneplus for mtk d9000, overheating and fast battery drain are major concerns for nord 3. Vivo flagship with same d9000 has no overheating and better battery life. This shows poor optimisation is the reason.
Also in vivo v27 d7200 sucks, same chip optimised and used in vivo t2 pro,t3,nothing 2a,xiaomi 13 pro+ and its hit.
Also d8100/d8200 also proved as best chipsets and people liked them.So OEMs should optimise mtk chips well.

Google tensor and exynos are the names that you should actually beware as they are way worse than mediatek and snapdragon. If you are afraid of mediatek, be not afraid. They are great (atleast in recent years).
