from the overwhelming amount of chinese smartphones regular buyers defaults to apple and samsung just to avoid dealing with such a mess

I do like that they kept the phone rather slim despite the 5500 mAh battery.

Thanks for writing how many OS updates will be coming. ❤️❤️

Me: * Looks at specs for my country *

            Sigh...

What a huge bloody disappointment. That is absolutely not to my liking, especially when considering that SOC has one of the best 4G/5G modems around.

Thanks for nothing, OnePlus. I'll be considering the Realme GT6T, Oppo Reno 12, Samsung Galaxy A35, or Motorola Edge 50 Pro instead.

Anonymous, 16 Jul 2024They should have went with dimensity 8300-7+ gen 3 is 8s ge... moreThe name "Mediatek" immediately makes the product worse in the customer's mind. The product simply won't sell as well if it has a Mediatek chip in it because of the lack of trust that people have for said company.

Therefore, picking the Snapdragon alternative at the same price is more beneficial for the manufacturer, regardless of the extra money Qualcomm takes for licenses.

The only reason that the Poco X6 Pro is selling so well is that it is marketed for people who are desperate for flagship performance at a lower midrange price. The Nord 4 simply isn't marketed like that.

As an example, look at the Nord 3 from last year. It had the Dimensity 9000 in it, a 2022 flagship chip in a 2023 midrange phone. It was a real competitor to the Poco F5 despite not being marketed as such and it was nearly 2X faster than the popular choice, the A54, yet it didn't sell well at all.

If you want good sales in the Smartphone world, you need reputable names.

Why does everything with Snapdragon always costs 150€ more by default? Not worth 450€ the slightest, especially when you have the Poco X6 Pro out there for under 300€.
Nord 4 throttles down to 65% lmao, what a lemon phone.

Why is the OnePlus Nord 4 getting 4 years of Android updaters while Oneplus 12R only getting 3 Years of Android updaters.

                                >Enter the horizontal and vertical pixels, and the length and width of a screen into the calculator to determine the DPI.

These comments really show that the average junkphone user seriously has no idea how a smartphone even works...

For crying out loud. Just go look at Android .apk package signatures ffs. Most apps have 15+ releases. On Google Play you automatically download the one which has the correct (or closest) DPI for your device. If your device has some non-standard DPI you won't even be able to find many apps in the Play Store...

For £429 in the UK I think this is coming in too expensive. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Oneplus 12R seems to be much better value if you can get it on a deal for £549 which it was about a week ago on their website. This deal also included free buds as a gift.

Seeing the review and mentioning that the 120hz is inconsistent is a total dealbreaker which on a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 seems very strange.

Another thing I find strange is how the battery life is only 14.41 hours with a 5500mah battery.

This should have come in at £349 which would have competed well with the Nothing 2A.

Kind of disappointed for what seems to be otherwise a great device.

what the hell no 4k recording option into selfie camera.

I'm calling it right now, for casual users, THIS is the midrange phone of the year

It represents just the right compromise between catering to those who want good specs and those who want a reliable all-rounder
