Pocketbooker , 29 Jul 2014You're right. I almost made the plunge with One+, it costs ... moreThat's a crock of BS. Memory card transfer rates are neglible to USB 3 transfer rates, plus the serial bus of the phones themselves are the real bottlenecks.
Most people with memory cards are using USB dongles/readers anyway, which is also bound by USB cord transfer rates. If you have more than 50GB worth of data to move and cloud storage is insufficient, then maybe you just need a laptop?
Stupid comment.

Angry Mobile Nerd, 29 Jul 2014What the h*ll are you talking about "$300 more"? ... moreYou're right. I almost made the plunge with One+, it costs US$ 400 retail where I live, readily available. But a simple check using GSMA's comparison tool reveals Oppo Find 7 has the one thing I need: a mem card slot, vital bec I don't wanna bring a cable always for laptop data transfer, while Bluetooth is too slow. Primitive as it sounds, plugging a mem card is still the fastest way to transfer files between phone & PC

You could spend $150 more and get a Oppo Find7a which has similar specs PLUS SD card slot, removable battery, and VOOC fast charging. It varies from market to market but there are even better deals than this out there (such as the G Pro 2 going for as low as $400 USD in Hong Kong). Then there's the Mi3 wish is actually selling for less.
There are alternatives people, but you guys have been so brainwashed by OnePlus that you're not even looking.

Like seeing people begging others to get them invited just to buy your phone ?
I worked in advertising business but never seen something as low as this. Your objective might be good but if this is the outcome, you should consider having it revised to attend people's need. Are you planning to experiment the stability of the phone on the early buyers ? Are you trying to mitigate the risk of failure of the product ? If you are serious on taking on the market, do stop this kind of marketing strategy. Even Vertu does not have this kind of BS considering how exclusive the phone is.
Shame on you...

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2014The marketing policy of selling only to "invited"... moreSo you'd rather pay 200-300 more for extra marketing and being impatient? Have fun with that ... who's really stupid?

The marketing policy of selling only to "invited" buyers is based on the assumption that buyers are stupid. If you refuse to buy this way, they will soon implore everybody to buy their product like any other manufacturer. In any case, you will very soon see better products at cheaper price coming to the market, without having to beg the sellers to sell their product.

If one plus one is offered to the public at the rate of mi3 it will remain a market leader and nearly five lakh units can be sold on the launch day itself in India.
