Cpt.Power, 20 Oct 2023Same price as Galaxy fold 5 much better specs compared to g... moreFold5 = better speakers (Oneplus speakers ALWAYS suck), IPX8 vs ipx5, wireless charging + reverse WCH, better feel in hand when closed due to the narrowness, proven hinge, 5 years support, Samsung DEX, Victus 2

Open - lighter, thinner, faster wired charging...There are some things the Open does better, some the fold5 does better. I would take the Fold5 mostly due to better UI for a foldable phone and the speakers. I do lots youtube, I cant have a good visual without a good sound.

So basically, specs aside, in real life scenarios, the Open wins in front screen, the fold5 wins as an overall package IMHO

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2023no sd card slot no 3.5 mm audio jack no IPS display panel... moreWhy would anyone want an IPS screen in an OLED dominated world?

      WTH! Is it same? :O

Steve, 20 Oct 2023Everyone I know uses custom roms, what are you talking abou... moreI don't think the interesting person or nor depends on opening a bootloader! There are multitude of reasons why not to open a bootloader and use custom rom. Warranty void, technical knowledge needed, actual real world value compared to stock vs custom etc.

I used to run for every new custom there was, just be "on the edge", "customise every part from rom to kernel" but haven't use one like 5 years or so. The need for custom rom for 95% of people is 0 (and i am lenient here?. Even with high-optimised kernels, that have awesome battery and are smoother than most stock ones - still for most users - 0 value.

Same price as Galaxy fold 5 much better specs compared to galaxy fold 5 plenty of accesories inside the box and near stock android as we can call Oxygen OS compared to plenty of useless samsung bloatware inside.
This is a win win among all existing folable devices.

These specs are insane! Considering the price of the pixel 8 pro, it makes this phone seem good value haha

1800 and no wireless charging! Know quick wired is best most of the time, but the convenience of wireless should still be there, for that odd occasion you want to use it.

The truth is that I just had to unbox and it's not that bad, it's just that the price should have been no more than 1,400 dollars

I hope that the Oneplus 12 is everything that the Pixel 8 Pro was not * 5 years of performances and 5 of patches and a price that does not exceed $1,200 and they will sell phones until they drop

In fact, even with the tech sawwier people, I dont anyone who bothers to mess with bootloaders. OnePlus are great phones although they've had some ups and down at different times. The Nord 2T and Nord 3 are probably the best bang-for-the-buck phones out there. That said, its those that are taking the market share where Im from, I dont know a lot of people who have the 600-1000€ phones from OnePlus

I don't really have a reason to use it, but I can see niche usecases (though more towards wireless power banks than wall chargers). Also, 50W wireless is still really good. One of my biggest complaints with my Google Pixel 7 Pro is the ridiculously slow charging, because I've had days where it didn't charge properly overnight for some reason and I had to charge it continuously throughout the day just to get to a high enough battery percentage. If I had a portable wirelessly-charging power bank that charged at 50W or higher, I'd definitely have a much better time.
