Don't salespeople generally push people into buying the more expensive item availalbe? To make a better sale? It's not actually logical that a salesperson would 'push' someone into buying a cheap phone. So yes, unfortunately your argument makes no sense.

you have to suffer, 30 Sep 2023majority of oppo and vivo users are mostly teenagers or old... moreI am an Oppo user and I've been so impressed with my Oppo that I've just bought one for my mother too. And I'm not a teenager or old, and I'm acutely aware of phone specifications. Having a degree in Electronic engineering and working in the field causes one to become well aware of device specifications. The Oppo A38 and the Oppo A96 I can tell you for fact are amazingly good value phones, not 'crappy' at all. They perform seamlessly, have all the features most people want, have great screen brightness and resolution, are very responsive, have a good warranty, look great, and for those not wanting a big heavy phone, they're light weight. You make the mistake of believing that everyone wants to take professional quality photos using their phone, which they don't, and that everyone needs the best quality chipset on the planet for gaming and high resolution video streaming, which they also don't. The vast majority of people, such as myself and my mother, are happy with a phone that is simply reliable, responsive, and functional. Primarily being used for texting, calling, location determination, maps, and some internet searching. For anything more than that many of us prefer to use a laptop or similar. And in my mother's case, having carpel tunnel syndrome in her hands, she requires a phone that is as light weight as possible, and so a phone using primarily plastic for construction over glass and metal, is ideal. The $200 price tag also makes sense for most people who know that at some point they will drop their phone on the ground, and would prefer not to suffer damage to a $2000 device from one simple slip. For anyone considering buying an Oppo A38 or A96, I highly recommend them, they are absolutely fantastic phones for the average user. Note that the RAM expansion software in these Oppos effectively doubles the available RAM from 4GB to 8GB in the case of the A38 and can increase it from 8GB up to 13GB of RAM in the case of the A96. Also, both have storage space of 128GB, not 64GB as suggested in this thread. No, I'm not a salesman for Oppo, I just like people to have fair, accurate and objective information available.

justasmile, 29 Sep 2023Ok then, looks like you have stayed at home for 10 years in... moremajority of oppo and vivo users are mostly teenagers or old people who are unaware of phone specs. and they buy it for just the backdoor cover and camera megapixel count. no matter whether they are poor or not. they'd still get genjutsu from their saleswoman.. this is why buying phones online are much reliable compared to going inside a retail phone shop. No pushy SPG into buying you crappy budget models.

There are millions of broke people in the world, and they don't often use their phone to capture, but use it to call only.
