It's a replacement model from Oppo A17. The A38 is game changing in terms of general specs in comparison to A17. Gives you 33W SuperVOOC, Portrait mode, 128GB storage, 90Hz, etc. That's what a 600 Malaysian Ringgit (in my country, Malaysia) phone should be at least like that

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2023thanks, I was wondering what would even be the predecessor ... morea36 is basically a76. maybe for certain markets. the brand naming scheme is what makes the oppo A series is better to avoid. its so confusing that they mix between low end and low midrange. same goes to vivo's flooding v notch device, Y series. making it hard to decide which one to buy. all the difference it makes is the ram size and back cover. samsung A series is much better, easy to differentiate between low end, midrange to upper mid.

These brands' naming is so confusing. Take the A33 as an example. Why is there a 2015 model and a 2020 model? Then realme, a normal person would think the C55 is the successor to the C54, but well there's no C54, so then the C53, but guess what. The C53 is newer than the C55
