Oppo A56 5G goes official with Dimensity 700 and 5,000 mAh battery

A new Oppo A-series phone was silently announced today in China. Oppo A56 5G comes as the successor to Oppo's A55 5G though the specs between the two are virtually identical with the only difference on the new model being one less 2MP cam around the back. The A56 5G also comes with new coats of paint in black, purple and blue shades.

Oppo A56 5G features a 6.5 inch HD+ LCD with a waterdrop notch and an 8MP selfie cam. It’s powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 5G chipset alongside 6 GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which is expandable via microSD. There’s a dual-camera setup around the back with a 13MP main shooter and a 2MP module for depth data.

A56 5G also comes with a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging speeds. The software side is covered by ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11. Other extras include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack.

Oppo A56 5G retails for CNY 1,599 ($250) in China and is up for reservations. International pricing and availability is not yet detailed.

Apparently you don't know that an opinion exists.

I won't compare the two. If you want to go cheap go Xiaomi, but you know what you get. Oppo's smartphones are great all-around. BBKs are in another league, in my opinion; at least the 'great threes'.
