Don't purchase this phone. The camera is poor in any condition. Overpriced piece of garbage. Never buying Oppo again

I actually bought this lol. This has to be the best non oled phone in existence. Oppo's camera software sucks though ...you get much better pics from gcam. The ltps screen is 120hz and colour accurate (both sRGB and DCI p3 - most IPS are not) with a high touch sampling rate and HDR support. Also, it gets full 5g signal where even flagship phones fail (Samsung). Only con I can see is the compromised camera but great so far. Also, the screen is bright and can be used outside with the sun out.

you heard me right, the A98, a low-end phone, costs just as much as an A34, a Midranger.
a phone with no Ultrawide, no AMOLED Display, no 4K30FPS, and an almost 3 year old low-end chipset, is priced at this amount.
if this doesn't scream overpriced to you, I don't know what will.

I owned this phone since 1 week against 250 usd
V good in general
Large, clear and smooth screen although it is lcd but good panel.
Good battery life and fast charging 67 wat
Good design
Large storage and RAM
Average or above average camera
Micoscope camera is very interesting.
It is defect to remove wide angel camera.
Night mode is good
Performance is good for daily tasks, social and common applications (not slow but not the fastest but generally good performance )
Performance become better after some days of use.

Oh my god... OPPO, is it not easy to place an ultrawide camera on this hunk of junk? is 5MPs too expensive for your big wallet? Is it gonna cause a price hike for this plastic brick?

I never said such thing before in this site, but whatever you do please AVOID this phone.
The users are basically getting ripped off. It's an overpriced phone for the specs. (1399 MYR or 280 EUR in my country).
The camera still captures average photos at this price, with no support for 0.6x ultrawide and OIS, yet you pay more for what?
Main selling point is 67W SuperVOOC? Hard to justify that
LCD display? Probably one of the expensive new LCD phones out there.
Lastly, a Snapdragon 695 at this price in 2023? Just no.
Even a Samsung Galaxy A34 is a much better deal than this.
The worst thing is, this thing sells like hot cakes in our online shopping platform and idk what the hell are these people thinking.
