Anonymous, 23 Apr 2021after 3 years using it (with updated software and os) the p... morePerform hard factory reset on your Oppo F7. I did mine recently as the phone have completed 3 year software upgrade cycle, and won't be receiving any more.
Currently running Oppo's ColorOS v7.1 over Android 10 with Feb, 2021 security patch the phone is fluid and very response even with some 80 apps running in background. This is with 4/64 GB memory configuration my wife uses. Oppo have improved so much from ColorOS v5 days on Android 8, their is huge difference in terms of software intuitiveness and feel between the two UI overlay versions.
Oppo F7 is a very well thought out phone, it may not win races now, but it will plough the field from day to night. The Mediatek P60 SoC built on 12nm architecture is still powerful enough to glide through very resource intensive apps like Facebook while providing a lot of AI muscle for the camera app. The phone may have just one back camera but takes great pictures. It contains one of the best selfie cameras up front. Display is great. Proper triple SIM card slot, so a 256 GB memory card supplements the 64 GB internal memory in my wife's case. She has over 10K photos & some 200 videos apart from some 4 GB of Whatsapp data in the phone. And still the phone works like charm churning through all those files with ease.
Even the battery backup is great considering it has a 3400 mAh battery by today's standards as the software is very well optimized P60 is very efficient. Even with very heavy use she still has 20% juice left at the end of the day by her standards. Thoroughly enjoyed the phone for last 3 years and with Andorid 10 onboard, software support will be good enough for next 5 years.

After 3 years with this phone I'll say it's awesome!, why? Because I'm stuck with Oreo O.S. which I intended to. I don't want to upgrade because of numerous complaints by the users, what's the benefit? Battery usage, Crisp Performance and Versatile Camera, and I'm surprised that I can still play games like RO Mobile, Moba Legends, COD and even Genshin Impact, Maybe another 2 to 3 years before the battery phone dies, I buy a new one, enough time to earn.

Vicky, 27 Mar 2021Can please explain what are the features available in camer... moreAfter Android 10 update on Oppo F7, there are no "Super Vivid" mode available in the default camera app while shooting video. What we get now is a "Beauty" slider, so we can adjust the amount of beautification required while shooting videos.
What I understand is "Super Vivid" is a beautification mode that was made available in Android 8. Personally I am against this type of fake, AI assisted beautification but this phone is used by my wife and she loves all these beauty modes. To me she never complained about the camera app lacking something after Android updates. On the contrary she reported the phone got packed with even more features after every update.
Oppo provided excellent software support for F7, with two Android version upgrades from Android 8 to Android 10 and 3 years of security patch upgrades.

After the latest update, my battery usage improved incredibly. I can't believe that 4h 9min usage and I still have 55% battery left. I owned this phone for 3 years and I'm just a regular user that uses 80% YouTube, 10% Facebook, and 10% Messenger all the time. I believe this is gonna the last update for Oppo F7 model.

Great looks in red color, very good display, great rear camera and selfie cam is good too. Default camera app takes decent pictures & videos comparable with phones twice its price. It also have tons of beauty mode features in the app, very import for women.
Has ample power with frugal Mediatek Helios P60 at helm enough to churn through Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube and Instagram without any hiccups. It has sleek profile and just 3400 mAh by today's standard, but the frugal nature of 12nm based P60 and very good OS optimization lets the phone easily lasts for 1.5 days for my wife. She uses a 18 watts QC2.0 charger with this phone which charges from 0 to 90% in 1 hr & 30 mins.
