For example we in India received Android 10 for Honor View 10 five months prior the same got released in Europe. I advice you to wait form 2 more months to see the outcome.

Perform hard factory reset of you phone and see if any improvements in battery backup. After Android 10 update, Oppo F7 battery backup have improved. Oppo made a huge leap on the right direction with Android 10.

A few last week i feel my battery draining very fast. Just zoom webinar 2 hours depleted around 50%. Playing MLBB 1 round (20-30 minutes), take down 20%. A sign of battery in need of replacement?

My real time network speed is not working when I'm using vpn. Does anyone having this problem?

Vks, 05 Jun 2020Thanks. Yes I got the Trail Version only.As promised Oppo finally released their stable version of ColorOS 7.1 over Android 10. I received the update on my Oppo F7 as on 24th June, 2020. Oppo prior had released the beta version of the same last month of May, 2020. They performed a month or so of soak test over 2000 beta volunteers in India like you before releasing the stable version.

Below are the details after update:
        ColorOS Version: V7.1
        Android Version: 10
        Android Security Patch: June, 2020
        Build Number: CPH1819EX_11_F.11
Date of release: 24th June, 2020
        Size: 2.56 GB

Immediately after the huge update I performed hard factory reset on my F7. The phone after reset rebooted with everything wiped out of its memory and everything set to factory defaults. These is a mandatory procedure I follow after every major android software updates. I avoid 9 out of 10 issues, as now after hard reset the phone is running at optimal level as the developer intended.

Coming back to the latest Android 10 update, I am truly impressed. The new update have borrowed many important traits straight from their sub-brand OnePlus which I like. Straight off, the new ColorOS 7.1 seems much less bloated than before and the software now feels much less offensive than previous ColorOS 6 on Android 9. Like the new border-less design which makes visuals more attractive and operation more efficient. The new default icon pack, new font style, system wide Dark Mode and new navigation gestures all makes the new software feel rich in look and feel. Any operations on the phone now seems as smooth as silk with no stuttering whatsoever.

I really liked the new fresh look, more optimized and intuitive UI's of Camera, Album, Contact apps after this new update. Even the new new charging animation looks awesome. I use a 18 watts fast charger with my F7 and charging speeds remain same as before. Lastly, we finally have VoWiFi (WiFi calling) enabled on this phone. VoWiFi will help us to get connected to any Wi-Fi network and able to make calls when carrier signal strength is poor or no GSM signal is available. However the GSM carrier needs to supports this new tech.

Finally, truly impressed with Oppo's hard work of making the new software more lean and purposeful while providing liquid smooth operational speed. Oppo have kept the promise and provided us with two major android software updates. F7 arrived with Android 8.0 and subsequently got updated to Android 9 and now finally we have Android 10. Released in April, 2018 I just hope our F7 gets another year of android security patch updates until Mar, 2021.

Have it for two years now, almost since release works well with everything I want to do from productivity to games, battery life is decent although I do plug it in to the wall or a power bank as soon as it dips bellow 50%, charge fast too even without VOOC as long as I'm not using it.

Software support has also been great, received updates to this very day. Camera is decent, although I don't really care for the camera as long as the pictures is clear.

The only thing I don't like is the fingerprint scanner which often took awhile to respond and after a few weeks just stop responding, requiring me to put in a new fingerprint scan. I just stick to the ye lens scanner which works great to this very day. Overall a great device that I will Miss whenever I buy a new phone.

Received color os 7.1 android 10 update today on my oppo F7 64GB model. There is a slowness in performance but very little. Has anyone updated to color os 7.1? If yes, then how's the performance?

lzx, 31 May 2020does oppo F7 support fast charging? Oppo F7 does not support any kind of fast charging. Not even Oppo's own VOOC charging. However I never used the bundled 10 watt wall charger that came with the phone. Instead I used a 18 watts fast charger with my Oppo F7 and the results are acceptable. 0 to 30% in 30 mins, 0 to 60% in 60 mins, 0 to 80% in 80 mins. In one and half hour it is 0 to 85% enough to take you through a day.

                          Below are the results:

                          Wall Charger Rating:
                          5V x 2A = 10 watts
                          9V x 2A = 18 watts

Phone powered off while charging: YES

                                    Regretted buying this phone.
                                    - Only had this for almost 2 years and its already full
                                    - Only have a few games on my this phone..and the only one I could update (to save up memory) is mobile legends (btw already moved most filed on my laptop)
                                    - lagging even if updated
                                    - especially lags while gaming (even when i have 10gb space available)
                                    - Just a crappy phone
                                    - Durable. I've thrown this so many times

Aadii_9415, 12 Apr 2020That was soo expensive in this specifications.slow processe... moreOppo & Vivo phones are always expensive during launch and people should wait for minimum two quarters for the price to drop significantly. I bought my Oppo F7 in 2018, seven months after their official launch in India. After some discounts and cashback I pain around $210 (INR 15K) for the phone.

I bought the F7 because it had Mediatek Helios P60 SoC, the best mid-range SoC of 2018. To me it was Helios P60, that bought Mediatek back to track and on par with Qualcomm for the first time ever. I generally divide SoC performance into three distinct parts:

                                      1) CPU performance
                                      2) GPU performance
                                      3) Manufacturing process

In 2018, price-wise Oppo F7 & Realme 1 armed with P60 directly pitted against Redmi Note 5 Pro & Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 sporting Snapdragon 636. It was the first time Mediatek truly won over Snapdragon counterparts.

Realme 1 was selling like hot cross buns in our country and was considered the mid-range gaming beast. Not only was P60 slight faster be it CPU or GPU than SD636 but it was also built on a more efficient 12nm manufacturing process when Qualcomm was using 14nm in its SD636 resulting in less power draw and less heat.

P60 laid the foundation and all its successors be it P65, G70, P90 till G90T used the same 12nm fab process. The recent Helio G90T on Realme 6 is no doubt a great SoC performance wise but efficiency wise in 2020 it has lost the war. We now have Snapdragon 730G equaling performance of G90T but built on much efficient 8nm process.

So in my eyes P60 was the real winner from Mediatek and it had advanced features as well like AI built in. It still is a powerful SoC capable to churn through any daily tasks with ease.

Vishal2303, 17 Apr 2020Since the update im having problems on my cellular network.... moreMine is running ColorOS 6 (CPH1819EX_11_C.12) on Android 9. Security patch is of Feb, 2020. No further software updates received in India.

My Oppo F7 has no cellular network issues. I am using Jio & Vodafone on dual sim mode. Both runs fine on 4G networks.
