Oppo Find X2's latest promo video highlights amazing contrast
Oppo's Find X successor from 2018 is coming on March 6 with a ground-breaking display tech and that's the focus of today's promo video shared by the company. The smartphone will surely be featuring an OLED panel and as per rumors, it will have a punch hole in the upper-left corner for the camera.

The promo video confirms the selfie camera design and brags about the 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio that the display can achieve comparing it to a smartphone with 1,000,000:1 contrast. We are not sure how that's calculated seeing how virtually all OLEDs have infinite contrast because the pixels don't light up when the panel is displaying black, but we are bound to get more details in the coming days.

I would highly doubt these numbers. the "perfect black" of OLEDs is typically 0,0005 nits. so to reach a contrast ratio of 1M:1 they need a peak brightness of 500 nits which is plausible (S10 reaches 1200 nits which is the max right now @ 2,4M:1). fo...

All that R&D to create "groundbreaking" screen tech, then put a hole in it. Where`s your logic, Oppo?
