                1. no one will die (like the cat in the microwave owen). This one is not impossible just needs carefull frequency selection and that is all.
                2. The phone gets enough power to charge itself
                3. it does not need a nuclear reactor to power the device (due to the lots of wasted energy)

                  Now Oppo are becoming crazy in price like sumsung.
                  1200EUR is roo much.i dont think if the phonw is ar that qqualuty and class. I bet chinis brand if continue with this crazy price will loose .

                    When truly wireless charging will be available, where you can be anywhere in the room, your phone keeps getting charged, that is where I consider wireless charging to be a useful feature.

                          you dont have to worry about plugging in and wearing out your usbc port or your charge cable ,
                          and every time you put the phone down on the pad it gets a top up , i am mystified how that is impractical .
                          If you have pads that are also stands , that is really cool as it is now a desk clock as well ..

                            well for a phone that costs about $1450 is totally not worth it... u can get an iphone 11 or a galaxy s20 for less than a thousand bucks

However oppo is not a recognised brand in Europe, and when you pay 1200€ it's not only for the hardware, but for the support, updates etc.. and the brand itself obviously.
                                When you're talking about such money people will go for Apple / Samsung cause these brands looks trustable and are well known by consumers. That's the way it is, the relationship specs / price means nothing for most of the people. Nobody knows what is a Snapdragon 865, everybody wants the latest galaxy.
