After using this phone for about 4 months, i have to say that I'm quite disappointed at how easy the screen scratches. It already has a lot of micro scratches and even a few deep ones. I haven't even dropped it once. I think the reason is the new Gorilla Glass Victus 2 because my previous phone, a Galaxy Note9 with older Gorilla Glass, didn't have nearly as many scratches. I know i could use a screen protector, but in this price range you would expect the screen to be a bit more scratch resistant...

4K only requires roughly 8.5 mps. Although most 4K cameras will have a slightly bigger sensor to compensate for cropping, since the sensor size is not always the same size as the required output. It'll also depend on what lens they decide to pair the sensor with.
The main reason I can think of why it was not included to begin with would be related to development time and battery efficiency. Each different sensor would require it's own set of software tailored to it.

I've been watching a lot of reviews & videos about the Oppo Find X6 Pro & all of them say that there's no 4K selfie recording for videos & that it only has 1080P. Why do you have 4K listed as one of the specs for selfie videos? You need to check your specs again GSMArena & post the truth. Posted September 20, 2023

Does it have a built-in screen recorder that records video calls with sound on both sides? Because that's what I'm also looking for in a phone.

And another update from oppo, August security patch and camera improvements. Broader iso in pro mode ( for which I wrote in GSMArena) and better hires images ( someone else noted) . Can't wait to try it but it will have to wait a few more days :)

How I wish the hardware if Oppo Find X6 pro had Google Pixel 8 pro Software.
I guess you cannot have the best of both worlds. But I value Software experience more than Hardware.
That's what made OnePlus a niche segment Good hardware Good custom ROM "Evolution X & Pixel experience." But decided to look their bootloader just like Opplus lost their niche.
We will wait for Pixel 12 series when it will have
-faster charging
-good cooling system
-snapdragon chipset
-ir more useful not thermometer
-reliable network & battery life
Just like Oppo's flagships 🤞

And Oppo doesn't allow ... moreIt has already been previously mentioned by someone that if you need notifications to work on time, you should let the app run in the background. This is not a big deal and good on the privacy side of things, since Google no longer gets all this info without any effort.
I would not trust any third party launchers, it's just not worth the risk given how easy it is to steal data via a launcher. The feature gap between 3rd party launchers and official are closing with each new release of Android.

Patterns are no where near as safe as a pin.
Don't Rely On an Unlock Pattern To Secure Your Android Phone

You can always use finger print unlock if you care so much about your pattern being seen.
Complaining about SIM Lock before Phone Lock is just Nit Picking when you have nothing else to go to.
You are much more likely to have your phone number ported away by criminals than having your phone stolen and your sim used. Having a sim pin won't help you with that.

Notifications are a problem
And Oppo doesn't allow 3rd party launcher which is standard feat6in all Android phones
No privacy when entering screen pattern, patterns are visible
Also when booting you have to enter sim pin 1st when set then phone lock. Easy to block your sim not very ideal. It must be phone pin first then sim pin to unlock the phone. If phone is in the wrong hands at least they won't block your sim pin first. 🤷

Microsoft wants as many users as they can get.
Just allow the app to run in the background if you want it to sync without having it open.

But it has Oppo Share which works with a number of other device manufacturers and much much easier to use than Nearby Share.

Honestly, coming from the OPPO Find X2 Pro; Which had Nearby Share installed and also Oppo Share. I never used Nearby Share, it was very cumbersome when compared with Oppo Share. To transfer to my PC, I just use one of the free FTP Server apps which you can find in the Play Store. It's a much better way and doesn't depend on installing vendor specific software.
