I bought my 600 october last year. Initially i enjoyed the unit because of it's email and net friendly set-up but it freezes on large functions that you run such as viewing downloaded excel files. One thing i hate is that while you are in a call you have to turn off the tones button because even if you are on a call and a message comes in, the message alert still rings and it is not only irritating to your own ear but also to the one you are talking to. I hope they solve this problem.

this phone personally was a piece of junk. The camera stinks, it froze on me everyday for no reason. There was no access to the battery or memory card. The phone sometimes dropped my phone calls. It gave me no access to t-zones on tmobile. waste of money. I think the 650 looks much better.

This is an awesome phone! I bought an unlocked and unbranded 600 off eBay and absolutely love it. Running the PalmOS means lots of cool 3rd party apps to download and use. I have a 1GB SD card for it and it holds movies, music, and TiVo. In addition, doubles as a PDA for keeping track of appointments, contact info., etc. The quality of sound that comes out of the speakers is great compared to other phones! A must have GSM/GPRS phone for under 200$! =)

Hi. Have had this phone for about 1 year 4 months. think that it is a good phone except that it freezes too often for no apparent reason...sometimes in the middle of a call. I had the 270 before and think that the 600 is a definite improvement. However, nothing can be perfect. what I really need to know is where and how I can download some new ringtones. any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

this phone is amazing freezes once in awhile ive been using it for 1 year, it freezes when too many things are happening at once ie: playing a video , receiving a text and receiving a call lol. and yes it does play mpeg you just gotta get the program to do it ie: kinoma player. this phone has endless posibilities it can also be use as a mp3 player tv remote map book (perlys) can send and receive files via IR amazing day planer. check out mytreo.net and you can find out more and you can also listen to music via speaker phone and also use mp3 as ring tone with the right program ie: ringo pro

Got this phone from T-Mobile less than one week ago. I am starting to regret it. I never seen a cell phone that freezes so much so quickly. I can rely on a total freeze and a reset every 30-60 minutes. This is garbage. Do not buy this phone, unless you like to reset your phone for no apparent reason every 30-60 minutes. I may try to convince T-Mobile dealer to exchange it for another, else I will demand my money back.

I bought this phone about 6 bmoths ago and I cannot wait to change it...very bulky...extremely poor reception..great as a PDA but that does not justify the negative sides to the phone..

I have had the phone for 7 months and had it replaced 5 times. Drops calls, bad reception, freezes, etc. Worst phone I have ever had. Works great as a PDA and to send/received emails, but as a phone it is useless. I have been up-graded to the 650 and waiting to see how it goes.

Phone has a terrible buzzing noise, which only stops when used plugged into a power source. Doesn't this negate the purpose of a mobile phone?

Bought my Treo 600 a month back, and has been working from the box since. I was inclined to the higher resolution display of the Treo 650, but after checking with PalmOne support, learnt that the last firmware update was dated July 2005 - meaning all the bugs are not out yet. The update addresses the memory problem, but the jury is still out on the phone reception problems. Although the 160x160 is poor compared to the higher res of the 650, my Treo 600 plays Divx movies nicely. My 256MB SD card is sufficient storage for two movies. The Qset software also improves the camera resolution - both 600 and 650 share the same camera hardware - by changing the default jpeg compression. The MovieRec software turns the 600 into a movie camera with sound. Most important of all, the phone works.

I find the phone part of the 600 to be poor to fair. Reception inside of any building structure is terrible. My kids get better reception with their inexpensive LG model phones. The phone freezes up for no apparent reason (which there is a warning in the manual about this). The camera is of poor resolution. The PDA functions are excellent, but again, the screen tends to freeze up and you have to "reset" the unit and start over. I give this phone, on a scale from 1 to 10, around a 5 (mainly because of the PDA), the phone I would rate 3. A good idea, but it needs some fine tuning to deliver as much as it promises.
