I have this phone for the last year and have a mixed opinion. Its lightweight and have cool looks, but i recomend this phone only if you are going to use it in a basic way (talk, camera, hear music, email), if you are going to install a buisness aplicaction dont use this phone!! freezes up quite often when you enter the aplication and have to remove the battery, also sometimes when you talk suddenly it shuts down. No on and off button so if you want to completely shut it down have to remove the battery.

There are two features I currently have in my Palm Treo that are must-haves for me in a future handheld device and I am still unclear how iPhone fares:
      1. Multiple profiles (silent-discrete-meeting-default-night-etc.) and ability to initiate triggers automatically (eg. 5-times daily switch to SILENT for 45 minutes based on manually defined times - unlimited number of similar triggers)
      2. Seamless editing and sync of MS Office documents including creation in the handheld device.

Please can you help me make a decision.?

I have been plagued with the following issues. The clock time changes on its own from one region to another.
The time on the received message is different.
A new message does not appear on the screen and it gets lodged somewhere and you need to scroll to find the message.
The same is also on the call logs.
The previously dialed number gets into the middle of the call log.

mr dwyco, 10 Feb 2010We just bought 5 of these phones for our business. The Pro ... moreREALLY BAD PART....the phones are plagued with issues! Our phones are freezing up and the only way to solve it is to remove the battery, or even worse sometimes do a hard reset! My text messages have started appearing throughout the log, no longer following the previous text from that person, so in reality you have to go hunt the text! Last night it woke me up at 3:45 am, with an alarm from my 6:45 wake up call, the phone read 3:45....(i thought i was losing my mind), then right in front of my eyes, it changed to 6:45, and the alarm started all over again!
          ======================================================

Me too, facing with the same issues as what Mr. Dwyco had described above. I had adjusted the clock of this phone for umpteen times already and still the clock went haywire once in a while.
As for my NEW & UNREAD messages, it appears somewhere in the log of my past exchanged messages. WTH!

This is the first Palm handset that has a really nice design. And it is not as clunky as earlier models. If you don't want the Palm Pre because you want a physical qwerty, but you still want a Palm, then the Treo Pro is probably the best phone to go for. But like all Palm models is does freeze up on an alarmingly regular basis which will force you to reset at least once a month. Aside from that, it is a solid Palm phone.

This is a nice phone. Type with your fingernails and you can turn on key clicks so you know when a key has been pressed. Admittedly because it is a vertical phone the keys are underneath the screen making the screen that much smaller but it works well.
Plenty of apps from which to choose. Nice wi-fi.

I find I spend most of my time trying to hold the stylus in my mouth while writing an email then using the stylus to send it. Overall a really horrible way of working.

We just bought 5 of these phones for our business. The Pro represents our 3rd round of palm phones, and sadly most likely our last. The Pro is a nightmare! From the start the phone operates very very differantly from previous palm os based phones, change is not always a bad thing, but the operational features of this phone are a step back from our previous 755p model. If u want to send a text, it takes three steps, the screen is slow to react, the battery life is a joke, most of us are only making it about half a day before needing the battery recharged. Aside from the fact the phone operates so differantly from previous palm units, now the REALLY BAD PART....the phones are plagued with issues! I have people calling my wife or my land line asking why i have not called them back, my phone has never rung! Yesterday my wides phone refused to dial a phone number in the contacts, just would not work, she removed the battery and then magically the same contact number worked fine. They are JUNK......i have contacted Sprint, and told them we give up!, REPLACE the phones with a differant model or we are outta here.....i havae only listed a "few" of the problems we are having, i could go on and on..but trust me they look slick, but are just not worth owning!

I use mine daily in business and onl pull out the stylus if i am killing time. You can use the nav key to nave anywhere in the phone.
                                      so, it's a preference thing.
