Excellent phone. It comes with a rare and very useful combination of touchscreen and 5 way navigation.

Is their any way to change the resolution to 240X240? Some apps are cut off on side to side w/o a scroll bar.

My Palm Treo pro is giving me a hell of problems and i havent known how to go about it. I experience problems with USSD commands which are used in my network (Vodacom Tanzania). at times they work and at times they dont. The emails could stay for long without any reason, then later they all come through. What can i do?

I would like to comment on how disappointed I am at Palm's support. The short version is I got a new Treo Pro on June 30, 2009 through my local phone company at a discounted price. On August 11 the touchscreen stopped working (it did display but didn't feel the stylus or my finger or any other object). Took it for warranty and Palm wouldn't honor warranty claiming it had been physically abused, although the phone was still new and just had the regular scuff marks and scratches any plastic device you carry in your pocket will develop.

My experience with it is that I really didn't like the windows 3.1 style OS. It doesn't have call counters, stopwatch, simple gadgets that made life easier with previous sony ericsson. Connection to Outlook worked sometimes other not (outrageous since I agreed to have a windows phone especifically to be able to sync to outlook). Also it's not easy to use with one hand. I connected it to my car's stereo but it always changes song after a call.

Battery life started miserable, but got better with use. You definitely need to charge it every night and disconnect it until you're ready to leave home.

My biggest disappointment was when after only 41 days of use the touchscreen wouldn't sense anymore. The display worked but simply the stylus or any other object had no effect on it. The phone worked but only the buttons. I tried to reset the treo, but that rendered the phone useless since the first thing it asks after resetting is to align the screen with the stylus. I never could get past that screen.

I took it for warranty (to my phone company, Tigo). They would take it to the authorized service center for the warranty claim . After waiting for more than a week, I got the dreadful news that the phone would NOT be covered by warranty because it had physical abuse. WTF??? The phone still looks and smells new.

The rep showed me that there were some marks that could be "felt when scratched with your nail". That means physical abuse. I was furious. They covered their asses showing me the report from the authorized repair center stating warranty would not cover it and that I had to pay the repair ($300) or buy a new phone.

Well there's your warranty for all of you thinking about buying this phone. You may like it, but you'll be sorry later when you try to use that fake warranty. They'll use any excuse before replacing it.

I ended up buying a Nokia E71 which I'm happier anyway because it has more features, does not slow down, can be used with one hand and has all the little gadgets that make your life easier.

This review says the flash memory is expandable up to 8gb, but the Palm website says up to 32gb. What else is wrong in this review?

I currently have a Treo 750 throught Telstra Next G, and am looking at the Palm Pro as mine has decided not to send SMS's - Yes all the correct numbers and settings are correct. I do have issues with resets all the time & blue tooth locking up with my current phone.

What is the go with the Pro - like the Idea of a Regional Blue Tick for country use.

                                Advise would be great

The only negative thing I've found is the plastic carcase, it has cracks all over. Palm have to improve the package of its phones. They are behind Nokia and BB.

So far I still believe its the best Windows mobile phone available on the market.
