Mr. Subhashish...you seem to forget one thing...you cannot afford a 2 mega pixel philips in India, dont you, so Philips makes all the lower end phones for people like you...did you the sony erricson p900 and p900i runs on Philips nexperia chip. Philips is capable of much much more its just a matter of time that we see a real star from them...they have just become bullish on the cell market...and mind you they are selling more than what people expected..also for your kind information Philips 355 is among the top 3 camera phone selling models in India.

This is a low budget phone without flashy stuff
So please don't complain that it has nothing. In fact a phone is made for calling.... So if you want a phone for calling, why not take this one...
I myself am very happy with my SE K700i by the way...

This is a message to Philips Inc.
This is 2005 2Q where cos. like samsung and sony erric are hard pitching with nikia in the market. You have smart phones with 2 or >2 MP camera, MP3 players, FM radio, doc. & ppt. files sharing and sending, MMC card slots etc.
Philips seems to be still in their childhood as far as the mobile phones are concerned. Its a suggestion that Philips needs to think whether they are capable of competing others in this spectrum of business. The exit door is always open for any company from any indutry. So, pls do not confuse the good old customers by bringing some age-old tech. phones. Its time to go to coffin...dear Philips...Kolkata, India.
