I bought the phone about 14 days ago and was very excited in the beginning. Just recently my screen started to play up and sometimes the outside as well as the inside display just do not work or go all blurry and stuff. Does anyone know a possibility to solve those problems (software update or something)? Did anyone contact Philips about it? Please leave an answer here for me guys. A know someone has already made this request, and an answer of sorts made. But the answer has not been helpful. so I ask again. Does anyone know where I can get a user manual in English? My manual for my 855 bought in Hong Kong, is in Chinese.

i got this phone a week ago and the screen keeps malfunctioning. it has gone completely blank a couple times and i couldn't see nething. i restarted it n flippd it n done whatever i can.. but had to bring it in in the end. also, a couple times it didn't save the settings that i had before.. rather dissapointing

i added t-zones to my t-mobile account using philips 855 but i can't download ringtones and wallpapers. i cannot even email. does anybody here know why? i've already changed it to tmobile settings. i suppose i did it right coz i can browse. but i'd love to download stuff. help me please. by the way, the phone is okay, got a lot of features, nice design but poor battery life. but over-all---its COOL!

can anyone let me know that this symbol "@" in philip 855 stands for? I don't see it in the manual but it appears on my screen. I want to take it off but dont know how to. Thanks

I am very dissapointed about this product cause all the problems only on the LCD display, the design is ok but the quality of the LCD display is low,usually the LCD got blank spot. Anyway thank's again.

I bought this handset a week ago, I feel very confidence about this, I like philips since 530 because philips has cheaper price compared to others. The feature more amount then others in the same price. The design also very cool, can accomodate young people like me. But Philips has to improve in the future. With same price it will be better if MP3 can be accomodated in handset. And also USB memory connection to make simpler in removing data.

don't buy any philips 855 in indonesia, because philips 855 in indonesia has been corrupted in the memory capacity/only 6019 kb, likes in philips 650, instead of the original specification was at 8045 kb

have my 855 now for two weeks. Had no problems so far. the tv-link was included(nice toy). The Battery lasts ca. 4 days with 10 txt and 30 min calls. the reception is good, better than my last one(lg 510w). But cant beat the nokia 6310(the best?!) Mine was made in france. I bought it from www.otto.de with german package.

from a month of my experience using 855, i found numerous problems on my phone, especially w d screen, it always suddenly blank, without knowing what is actually happened, especially d subscreen..yesterday, i was pretty convince that d problem was w its capability 2 turn 180, coz i cant use it if i turn it 180, but i can still use it if i turn it like d other clamshell phones degrees...wel guys, dont buy ths product or 180 degress swiffle, d product is not being perfect enough to be launced...i also heard tht philips will sell its tv link for US $50...its quite expensive just 4 a cable link...btw d good of ths hp is that d design is good, have a self portrait, modem, etc...disadvantages are tht no provider to download ringtones in my country as far as i know (indonesia), cant connect n download games from infusio (unable to register from hp, i dont know why), cant touch it w nails, unless its broken (keypad)...hei philips, i'm still waiting 2 upgrade my 855 sofware, thanx...

Dennys, the batt is shit and as a matter of fact Philips people just realised it at pilot run stage and asked cellon to change it

First 855 models are release in West Europe these days. I will receiv mine within 3-4 days (from France). Hope minor problems (you explain in these posts) will be resolve by new Bios or battery exchange since first release in Hong-Kong. I will let you know.
