Poco X7 Pro review
Design, build quality, handling
The Poco X7 Pro comes with a typical flat design, as opposed to the curved X7 model, and this does add for a more secure and comfortable grip.
The X7 Pro has a flat Gorilla Glass 7i front, a flat plastic frame with a matte finish, and a flat matte back made of plastic. The phone is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. Some markets will also get an IP69-rated version for pressured water jet resistance.
The design of the back panels is two-tone, where the finish changes from polished to matte to create this two-tone look and feel. The yellow signature version, like it was with the Poco X7, features a black eco-leather segment.
And there is our Iron Man Edition, with an Iron Man helmet and Marvel Avengers logo. The panel is all matte, except for the helmet. It is a cool design and an incredibly nice treat for the Avengers fans.
The camera housing has been significantly downsized since the Poco X6 Pro. It is sticking out of the back, but it is much smaller now that there are only two cameras.
Once again, we are fans of flat design, and we are glad Xiaomi has decided to stick with it here. It provides an excellent grip, all models are smudge resistant (except for the screen that is) and overall, we are happy with the Poco X7 Pro design and build quality.
The front of the X7 Pro is all screen with a small punch-hole for the 20MP camera. Above it is the earpiece, which also acts as a stereo speaker and has a top-facing second outlet for balanced audio.
The fingerprint scanner is under the screen, optical type, and it works nearly flawlessly.
The second speaker is at the bottom, near the USB-C port. There are two microphones here.
There is another microphone close to the IR blaster at the top of the phone.
Whether it's the Iron Man edition, or any of the regular ones, the flat will be all back and made of plastic. The dual camera has elliptical housing with small plastic rings around each camera.
The Poco X7 Pro measures 160.8 x 75.2 x 8.3 mm and weighs 195 grams, which makes it the same size as the X6 Pro, but about 10 grams heavier.
Overall, the Poco X7 Pro's design and build quality gets an A from us.

And barely any company has that. Its either small batteries, good optimisation, or big batteries, bad optimisation.

What an ugly theme it has, if I were to buy it, I would change its theme the first thing I do!
