Poco X7 Pro review
Display
The Poco X7 has the same display as the Poco X7, Poco X6 and X6 Pro befor it - a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 1,220 x 2,170 pixels, 12-bit color depth, and 120Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision streaming. The panel is protected by a Gorilla Glass 7i sheet.
The official specs promise 700 nits of typical, 1,400 nits of maximum, and up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness.
Other interesting bits are the 480Hz touch sampling rate and 1920Hz PWM Dimming.
We have completed our display measurements, and the brightness levels are near the advertised values. The maximum manual brightness was 524 nits without the sunlight boost and 883 nits with it. The maximum automatic brightness we measured was 1,265 nits.
The minimum brightness measured on white color was just 1.7 nit, which is a great result.
The display supports a wide color gamut. It can also show HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content; services like Netflix recognize this correctly.
The screen supports 120Hz refresh rate, it can also switch to 90Hz and use the standard 60Hz option, too. For still images, it dials down to 60Hz, and for streaming, some games, the camera app and other apps won't work in HFR mode. The only time we observed 30Hz was for the Always-on display.
Battery life
Our Poco X7 Pro review unit is the global model and it is powered by a 6,000mAh Si/C battery as opposed to the 6,550mAh in the Indian model.
The phone we have scored an active use score of 12 hours and 43 minutes, which is alright, but not great, considering the battery capacity. The X7 Pro did well when it comes to video streaming and calls, but average for web browsing and gaming.
Charging speed
The Poco X7 Pro supports up to 90W HyperCharge. The European bundle does not contain a power adapter inside the box, but we've seen markets in Asia receive the charger in the box. You can use any 90W+ USB-PD adapter to utilize the maximum charging speed, no need to shop Xiaomi's.
Using a 90W or more powerful adapter yields excellent charging speeds. We got 49% of charge in just 15 minutes, 83% in 30 mins, and 100% in 44 mins.
The battery options include wired charging mode - standard or top speed (default), smart charging (overnight slow charge), and battery protection (80% limit).
Speakers - loudness and quality
The Poco X7 Pro features stereo speakers and they support Dolby Atmos enhancement (on by default). The top speaker also acts as an earpiece; it is quieter and lacks thump, but the audio balance is good.
The speakers' loudness and quality are identical to the Poco X6 Pro's - the setup scored a Very Good mark for loudness on our test, and the sound quality is good - the high range is rich, the vocals are okay, and there is some bass.
Use the Playback controls to listen to the phone sample recordings (best use headphones). We measure the average loudness of the speakers in LUFS. A lower absolute value means a louder sound. A look at the frequency response chart will tell you how far off the ideal "0db" flat line is the reproduction of the bass, treble, and mid frequencies. You can add more phones to compare how they differ. The scores and ratings are not comparable with our older loudspeaker test. Learn more about how we test here.

And barely any company has that. Its either small batteries, good optimisation, or big batteries, bad optimisation.

What an ugly theme it has, if I were to buy it, I would change its theme the first thing I do!
