Pocophone F1 Android Q update confirmed as May security patch starts seeding

Sagar, 18 June 2019

The Pocophone F1 received MIUI 10.3.4.0 update back in early April which brought in Widevine L1 support and Game Turbo to the phone. Now two months later, the smartphone is receiving MIUI 10.3.5.0 update which bumps up its Android security patch level to May 2019.

The new build weighing around 390MB in size also brings in a customizable lockscreen clock which can be accessed by heading over to the Settings > Lock screen & password > Advanced settings menu. However, it's worth mentioning that this clock won't work with third-party themes.

Besides that, MIUI 10.3.5.0 optimizes sorting principles for Wi-Fi networks and fixes the issue of dual apps disappearing after reboot.

The MIUI 10.3.5.0 update is based on Android Pie, but Alvin Tse, who's the global head of Pocophone, has confirmed that this 2018 flagship will eventually get Android Q. He didn't share any timeframe for the rollout, though.

Updates do come to either fix and issue or add features. LG might update more often but would it be for additional features or just to fix bugs?
