The only thing which is very bad with Qtek 9600 (as with many Pocket PC) is alarm management. Never trust it if you don't want to arrive late in the office !

The camera is not autofocus. There's no autofocus on phones, rather what is called Hyperfocus. Which basically that everything from close to infinity should be sharp. In fact it is rather everything is pretty unsharp ;-)) Qtek 9600 has a manual focus, which is very fine, because now you will make sharp pictures !

i just read that the camera on this smartphone doesn´t have autofocus. Does it mean that it does not have any kind of focus such as manual?

I agree with the calibration issues..I have to do mine at least once a week, It bugs me but apart from that, i really like the Jasjam!!!
I am hoping to be able to use different alarm tones but so far am unable to work out how to change them from the preinstalled ones- Any help would be Great.

I find the phone very useful and does the job. However I find it to crash a lot between applications, maybe thats a Windows error rather than a phone issue !!!! however the screen callobration isnt very good i have to re callobrate at least once a week or more otherwise the touch screen goes screwey which defeats the object !! so beware.

This is just about the same as the cingular 8525. The cingular phone is a little watered down though. It doesnt have the camera in the front for video conferencing, but i am surprized cingular kept the wifi in it, because they took it out of the blackjack/samsung i600. I dont know what else they might have taken out.
