Realme made it clear that it's going to launch a successor to the Realme 1 and even teased some of the features like the notch, the dual camera setup and the big 4,230 mAh battery. Later on, an official confirmation of the August 28 release date came out.

Now, Flipkart has confirmed that it will have dibs on the smartphone and will be offering the device exclusively starting August 28. Interestingly, the store puts the handset in a category of its own by saying that it's the first notched smartphone in India for under INR 10,000 ($140). Now we are not sure anyone is looking for notched smartphones specifically, but that price sure sounds attractive.

As of now, Realme confirmed that the Realme 2 will sport a Snapdragon SoC, 6.2-inch display and a 88.8% screen-to-body ratio. Judging by the striking similarity between the recently leaked Oppo A5X and the Realme 2, the latter could come with Snapdragon 450.

With no bootloader unlocking present for either Realme 1 (and probably this Realme 2), developers like myself will definitely stay away from this
