Anonymous, 29 Jun 2020I could be wrong but it could be that it stores lock screen... morewhat I want , and am willing to pay money for , is to be able to REINSTALL the original realme OS that came installed on the phone when I first bought it in cebu city ~1 year ago . Can anyone do this for $50? It would improve my life SO MUCH ! Thx

I am prepared to root and void the warranty , because it would have roughly expired around this time and is absolutely worthless .

        Don't buy devices with no service center in your country.
        How can any brand help you when you can't even go to their service centers?
        You'll have to find some way to get them to look at it. If you bought it through *official online retailer*, you should by able to claim warranty through them.
        Your only other option is turning to developers for help (on Telegram/XDA), but that would require patience.

        I don't think so. I only bought this phone after making sure it would last at least 3 years. It was the most durable phone in every way at the time - not sure how new phones compare to it.
        Realme is more popular than Huawei, Vivo, Oppo, Nokia in budget to midrange, in my country. It has perhaps the best "quality-to-specs ratio" out of all brands, especially way better than Xiaomi when it comes to hardware problems. Huawei has better quality, but costs more as well.

          I am using this phone for eight months. phone has become slower after android 10 update and shutters are visiting every here n there. multitasking is impossible now. camera takes ages to open, click and save a picture. my 2 gb Samsung is better in RAM management than my 3 GB realme 3. I don't play any games on my phone but still find very difficult to use this phone. I am not going to buy a cheap Chinese phone anymore. I have learnt my lesson.

            even after factory reset from the recovery screen , it still required my OLD lock screen password ... this means that this reset was very superficial ... is there a deeper reset that I can do ? I did Format Data , AND I did Wipe Data (keep contacts, SMS, photos)

            I did BOTH and still not getting any results ... and the only service centers are in the philippines , where I am not !

            your other comments are irrelevant -- realme has WAY LESS SALES than the other companies , so of course their defect rate will be lower , but also their level of accountability is lower because it's more difficult to rally up an outcry when things go wrong ... so much of their client base is in india , where everything is different !

              The issues persist (major lag in various screens / moments , completely arbitrary as well , I am not a gamer , I don't have a "GPS-only mode" anymore , it requires google gps location service acceptance every time , which is stupid ...
              ++ sometimes SD card doesn't load when you boot the phone (50% yes , 50% no)
              ++ Bluetooth major major lag + WiFi major major lag
              ++ I am in final stages of backing up all my software + files using the RealMe service to MicroSD + Google service
              ++ I backed all WhatsApp files to SD card
              ++ I am stuck with the 2FA apps that I have , because google authenticator 2FA does not back up to the cloud and cannot be restored on another phone , so you have to manually disable 2FA one by one in each and every one of your software services that you use , which is NOT easy especially in the semi-shady cryptoverse ... that's why I haven't performed a factory reset yet . Believe me I cannot wait to do that and it is my final hope .

                Anonymous also tried to help you daily for 1-2 weeks, but you wasted his time as well.
                So don't spam these reviews with such nonsense till you've actually tried it.

                How are these positive reviews paid? I've checked all phones that came out in last 2 years under $400, in my country. This phone is easily among top 5 most durable & "issue-less" phones among them.
                You'll find my IP tag in over 100 phones on Gsmarena alone. I'm also on XDA, Telegram & Facebook Android communities - so I know pretty well what I'm talking about.

                I say "issue-less" on the basis of complaints of other phones, especially MIUI phones. There isn't a single Xiaomi/Redmi, Samsung, Oppo & even Realme phone that is as free from complaints as this phone.
                Their complaints are mostly hardware + software related, while I think I haven't heard any hardware problem in this phone in past year from anyone.

                Even your complaint is software related, which can be easily fixed by resetting or simply reinstalling the ROM.
                Fine, you had bad luck. But you just keep spamming reviews instead of doing that.

                And how can you make software issue that only you're experiencing the basis for it being a "bad phone" when even iPhones, OnePlus & Pixel phones develop issues after software updates?

                  To all the paid fanboys spreading fake good news, please be quiet and try to help the people (like me) that have issues !

                  Issue #1: EMERGENCY - Realme REMOVED "Realme 3" model from their support / software downloads website , this is very concerning ...

                  Issue #2: I am going to perform a factory reset to try and repair all the bugs and issues that they introduced into this phone after RealMe UI introduction . This company is terrible.

                        So many fake reviews on a perfect phone. I had no real issue in my 1 year of use.

                        Camera is amazing after Android 10 update. If you turn on HDR, the picture quality is close to Google Camera.
                        Battery timing is still same as when I bought it new.
                        Performance is also same. Never lags, perfect for games, doesn't heat much.
                        I removed its screen protector and it still has no scratches.

                        After one year my phone has no damage anywhere. It still looks same as new. I just applied a sticker on its back to avoid scratches.

                        The charger and cable I got with this phone still works perfectly. I didn't have to change them.

                        If you want to buy this phone, don't hesitate. This is one of the best quality phones you can find.

                              unstable gyro sensor problem fix it pls

                                had mine for a year, works great. it was annoying that realme used to override zero animation speed in developer options and kept resetting animations to 1, but the android 10 update fixed that.

                                        I didn't care about any of the previous updates, but I absolutely love Android 10 update. The way everything works and camera has improved a lot!
