I also feel like i have bought a new phone after updating to android 10 (realme ui). Oppo/realme have done a good job by making color os less similar to ios in looks. Earlier versions of color os were bashed as a copy of ios and since then they have improved. Hope that realme ui does not bring ads like Miui.

      don't get how who posted here is having so much issue after upgraded. When you read them, you would think this phone have many problem and doesn't worth to buy after upgraded. I Have updated it to Android 10, work just fine, heck even it's improving my phone view. It's as if I buy a new Phone!. Its one of the best phone I've decide to buy since 1 year ago. I have buy countless phone which either very over price, or just using it for 1 year and then they become useless because all of sudden the signal dissapeared. This Phone is the first phone when I think I finally buy with the right price. Hopefully I can hang on with this phone on another 2-3 years, until It's feels outdated.

        RMX1821EX_11.C.11 available ...280MB

          Surely, it wouldn't cost days to back up little bit of data.

          You can try All in One Toolbox. Run Boost & enable "Auto Boost at Screen on" from its settings. Allow the app to run in background from Battery settings.
          It's unlikely since Realme 3 is a powerful device, but if your issue is related to RAM/CPU, this will lower the burden. It fixed horrible lag on my friend's Samsung.

              Phone speed improved somewhat after clearing up 20gb on internal phone storage

              Doing the reset system settings only accomplished nothing

              Must disable all 2FA tokens before full reset or else lose access to accounts online not good!!!

You can't flash anything other than you already have. Means you cannot flash C.9 over C.10(current firmware). You should try resetting.

                    Reinstalling didn't break or delete anything

                    But it also didn't fix anything...

                    Where can I download a similar file but for older OS?

                      Anonymous, 06 Jun 2020Yes try installing the file you downloaded from realme site... moreI will try to leave more empty on phone storage now , before trying to reinstall this fine . It might tell me that my current OS is already same or newer than the update , and hopefully your theory is right about it not deleting anything in the process ... !!!!!!!!

                      I doubt any patch would fix this massive number of issues ... even Dark Mode works in some apps but is completely ignored by others ... and indeed an exceptionally noticeable lag all throughout the phone during normal usage ( i am not a gamer ) ...

                        Realme321GO, 05 Jun 2020"First you create a realme backup and see how big is that(i... moreYes try installing the file you downloaded from realme site(file is around 2.46 GB right?) . You will not lose any data/files. May be it will solve the issues.
                        And please avoid 'rooting' as it will void warranty and banking apps will not work properly. It may also cause issues with realme updates. Realme phones do not have great support at XDA forums.
                        If you have a Redmi/Xiaomi then you can try rooting/custom roms etc.

                          Anonymous, 05 Jun 2020First you create a realme backup and see how big is that(in GBs)."First you create a realme backup and see how big is that(in GBs)."
                          ~5GB in my case , on SD card
                          ==
                          As another avenue to explore, I downloaded this file from REALME website :
                          RMX1821EX_11_OTA_1100_all_GQu4ppXhf2JQ
                          I put it on the SD card , then moved onto phone storage

                          Is it worth trying to boot into backup mode vol down + power , and trying to install that file? (It's same OS/version as I have now , but IF (big if) it lets me reinstall, and IF (big if) it lets me keep all my apps / settings , maybe the bugs will go away ? Do you know anything about this approach ?
                          ==
                          There is new discussion on reddit about evidence of DNS hijacking from realme so they can snoop on all internet tracking over ... did we have a reason to expect from the begging that they were not actively doing this to us anyway?
                          ==
                          If you manage to root the phone despite it having Realme UI on it (I am not sure a root method has been established yet for latest OS:
                          a: void warranty (minor concern at this stage , the phone is almost a year old)?
                          b: prevent receiving future updates from realme?
                          c: can completely backup absolutely everything including app settings logins etc. etc. using Titanium app or equivalent?
                          ==

Normally when you update from one android version to another these issues happen(but not to every one). You can wait for further updates as an update C.11 is on the way. See then whether issue remains.

                                Realme321GO, 04 Jun 2020So if I understand correctly 1) Backup static files (.doc... moreHi, for your questions
                                1) yes those backed up apps will be installed when you restore realme back up
                                2) good
                                3) correct , Realme backs up almost all apps
                                4) yes

                                Question:
                                1) I am not familiar with 2FA tokens. I mainly use google pay and other banking apps for transactions.I also do not use Google Authenticator. However you can create a backup of all those tokens and other files related to these apps. It would be better if you sign in again after reset. You may have to sign in again with Google Authenticator.
                                2) Most of the apps (example Whatsapp) use internal memory
                                3) no
                                4) You can try
                                a) reset system settings only (basic reset so try it first )
                                b)erase downloaded apps and their data (more comprehensive)
                                or
                                c)erase all data(actual factory reset)

                                Try in the order . I mainly do 'factory reset' as i do not have many apps.

                                  Anonymous, 03 Jun 2020Are you on version C.10?I loved the phone before new update after the update and getting the latest android 10 version every other feature is good but the only issue is the fast battery draining when I keep my mobile at night and then when I wake up 30-40% of the battery is gone which wasn't like this before the new update, only 1 -2% was consumed at standby mode in nights.
                                  Please help me resolving this issue.

                                    So if I understand correctly
                                    1) Backup static files (.doc / .pdf. / .mp3 / etc. / .APK to reinstall side-load style after reset )
                                    2) use Google Backup (I already do always)
                                    3) use Realme back up and restore (some Applications but NO app data), Personal Data (Contacts, Messages and more) and System Data (System Settings, Clock and more).)
                                    4) Do some sort of reset

                                    Question:
                                    1) How do I restore my Authenticator and Authy apps with all the 2FA tokens they generate for finance apps, after they are reinstalled? These are needed to log back into my personal finance apps , and others ... I have about 6-10 different apps that use 2FA using these apps
                                    2) How do I check which apps are using external storage as the default place to store their files/datbases ? Like WhatsApp , etc. Is there a default setting somewhere ? I can't find it
                                    3) Is there any other step I can take to back up even more things before doing a factory reset and restore ?
                                    4) Is there any advantage at all to doing the more supecificial resets , rather than a full comprehensive reset ?

                                    thanks again

May be you could restart the device a few times or clear the junk files. Also check battery settings if any particular app is causing battery drain. Also clear the cache. Also check ram usage.
