Help. Deciding on whether to get an Oppo F11 Pro or Realme 6i as an extra phone since they are same price now. I've heard good things about Realme 6i but my big concern is the RAM which is only 3GB vs F11 Pro's 6GB. I don't know anything about hardware/processors much but i know you should have at least 4GB RAM these days. Or does the processor make up for it???

ShiroShido, 28 Oct 2020I have Realme 6i I thought it's good for gaming phone ... morelol you're facing lag because you're Screen Recording while gaming. Even more if you're also recording game audio & live streaming while gaming.

              1. This phone is great for gaming. It can play PUBG at actual 40-50FPS, so it can't lag in Call of Duty which is lightweight.

              2. But if you want to Stream + Game, you need these specs:
              - Helio G90T, Snapdragon 730G, Snapdragon, 720G with 4GB RAM (need 6GB RAM for Xiaomi phone, because MIUI sucks).
              - Snapdragon 712, Snapdragon 710 with 6GB RAM (for good FPS, otherwise 4GB will be fine as well).

              3. Since you've already bought this phone, here's a few things you can try:

              (i) Lower Resolution:
              - Lower resolution of game to 1024x576 or 960x540. In Game Settings or GFX Tools.
              - Lower resolution of screen recording to 480p or 854x480.

Lowering both will greatly increase performance.

              (ii) Lower Bitrate:
              - Use maximum of 4MB bitrate for screen recording.

(iii) Lower FPS of Screen Recorder:
              - Set screen recorder FPS to 30, or as low as 25.

(iv) Lower Audio Quality, Record 1 way or Don't record it.

              (v) Change your Screen Recorder app.
              - Use Realme own Screen Recorder.
              - Try AZ Screen Recorder. It's lightweight and offers more control over resolution, bitrate and stuff.

(vi) Take load off of your device to get best performance.
              - Use Game Mode.
              - Use Quiz Freeze feature in Battery settings.
              - Use Freeze or End tasks in Process Manager in settings (especially for apps that give notifications).

I have Realme 6i I thought it's good for gaming phone But When I played Some Online Games like Call of duty Mobile I experience lagging very much , But I only Have 1 Game but still Lagging I don't think so If this Realme is worth it to buy.. I tried only realme because Some people told me about Realme But now when I buy a new phone again I will not buy Realme anymore :) I thought when I Upgrade the software there's something Change about lagging issues but even I upgrade. I still experience Lagging issues. I'm a streamer so everytime my 6i is lagging.. My Streams is always Affected
It's my opinion :) I buy for the first time So i don't have any Issues about lagging but when the phone using very longer it's not good.
anyway 64 GB but There's a lag issue i don't know if it is not worth it.. You spend a lot of money to buy a phone but there's a lagging issue.. Pft..

I just like the specs and the camera

the PANO in camera of realme 6i is quite bad, Please REALME fix the PANO in next update.

Johnny, 22 Oct 2020Which is suited for gaming, Realme 6i or Realme 7i?Realme 7i is better for gaming due to the 90Hz refresh rate. However, the Snapdragon 662 in the 7i s weaker in GPU and single core performance (also the antutu score is lower). But because of its more battery efficient fabrication (11nm vs 12 nm) it may last longer. If you consider online gaming, Realme 7i has better connectivity with its X11 modem.

                            Mia12, 17 Oct 2020Same question! Can't decide between realme6i, infinix ... moreGo with Realme 6i.

                            1. Better performance.
Helio G80 is slightly more powerful than Helio G70 of Infinix Note 7.
Helio G85 of Redmi Note 9 isn't optimised for apps, so it lags in many apps. Many people regret buying it.

Realme OS offers better performance and battery endurance than MIUI of Xiaomi as well.
MIUI is very heavy and unstable/buggy. It consumes most battery and gives lowest performance out of all Android OS.
XOS of Infinix will offer similar performance as Realme, but with time, its performance tends to decrease.

                            2. Camera:
Realme 6i has better cameras. Be it stock camera or Gcam.

Infinix Note 7 camera has very high white balance, especially in selfies. They look quite bad and colour-less unless you install Gcam. (My friend has it).

Redmi Note 9 camera is among worst in Note series of Redmi. In fact, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 8 cameras are much better than it and every previous user of RN7, RN8 who bought RN9 agrees with it.
GSMarena camera samples make it clear how bad it is.

                            3. Battery endurance:
Realme 6i offers best battery endurance out of the 3.
It also charges faster than the other two.

                            4. Sound:
Realme 6i has louder speakers than Redmi Note 9.

In fact, Redmi Note 9 speaker volume is even lower than Redmi 9 (See GSMarena audio test of Redmi 9).

Infinix Note 7 speaker is loud, but I didn't like its sound quality (my friend has it).

                            5. Display:
Realme 6i has best overall display. While Redmi Note 9 has higher resolution display.

                            (i) Brightness:
                            - Realme 6i: 528nits.
Extremely good, very rare in this price & excellent for outdoors.

                            - Redmi Note 9: 370nits.
Much lower. Hard to use outdoors/in Sunlight, but usable with some trouble like in shade.

                            - Infinix Note 7: Unknown, but it's probably 380-420nits.

                            (ii) Contrast:
                            - Realme 6i: 1610:1
                            An excellent contrast ratio!

                            - Redmi Note 9: 1242:1
Very poor. Most phones in this price have better contrast ratio. Even Realme 3 has 1460:1 contrast.

                            (iii) Colours:
                            - Realme 6i: 4.4 DeltaE (Select Warm in display settings)
This is considered excellent and is very accurate.

                            - Redmi Note 9: 3.7 DeltaE (Select Standard in display settings)
This is also considered excellent and is even more accurate.

                            - Infinix Note 7: Unknown, but I noticed it had a blue tint.
I don't know if it can be adjusted in display settings, but if not, I don't think it has good colour accuracy.

                            (iv) Resolution:
                            - Realme 6i: HD+ display with similar size as Redmi Note 9.
But it's not same as other 720p displays. It's actually not that far off from FHD display.
"All text is sharp enough and we saw no pixelization whatsoever. Realme has reworked the UI, and it is optimized for the 720p resolution, and nothing is visibly blurry as was the case on the Realme 3 and 5."
                            - GSMarena
(It's also better for battery endurance, making it more ideal imo).

                            - Redmi Note 9: FHD display.
" Unfortunately, the Redmi Note 9 falls victim of that typical LCD glare around the punch-hole."
                            - GSMarena

                            - Infinix Note 7: HD display, but on nearly 7inch screen.
Out of the 3, it's the worse.
But I've seen its display as my friend has it. It didn't look that bad or pixelated when I was using it. There is also the added benefit of being able to spot enemies in games from far away due to its bigger screen.

                            5. Features:
Redmi Note 9 probably has the most features, followed by Realme 6i.

RN9 has IR Blaster to use as remote for TV, AC etc and supports Screen Mirroring in FHD resolution.
Realme 6i also supports Screen Mirroring, but I don't know the resolution (I know it's at least HD).

                            6. Quality/Long term use:
                            - Realme 6i is definitely better.
Realme quality is no less than Huawei's. They've the least complaints out of all brands.
I've used Realme 3 for nearly 2 years and it still doesn't have scratches, any sort of damage or any kind of problem.
                            - Even battery endurance & performance is same as 2 years ago. I lose 0-1% battery at night.

                            - Redmi Note 9 has various complaints. Most Xiaomi phones in budget to midrange aren't reliable.
                            For example:
                            - Redmi Note 8 Pro has widespread camera dust issue.
                            - Redmi Note 9s has widespread camera dust issue (check their official website reviews).
                            - Even Poco X3 has camera lens problem (Even GSMarena team encountered it in their review).
                            - Redmi Note 7 is a box of problems (check reviews).

                            - Infinix Note 7. I personally don't trust Infinix for long term use, mainly because they also have frequent complaints like Xiaomi. And it's difficult to claim warranty of Infinix in my country.

Been trying to download fortnite on this device but Epic game is telling me device isn't supported.

Lost my phone while in Hospital ER, so during treatment was pestering my son to buy on my behalf this Realme 6i since it is powered by my favorite MTK SoC. Quiet happy with the overall performance until I came back home and found out that the WiFi is only 2.4G! Whereas my lower spec'd lost phone was on 5G. Since I am nearly always at home due to illness, I was really dissapointed. Storage and Camera are good with its AI. Could even sideload a modified Pixel camera app but it is slow, seldom use. Sound is not satisfactory at all, non stereo speakers only through audio jack.
As much as I love/hate MTK SoC from its "primitive humble beginning" there is still some of the bugging issues with stuck keyboard/stuck screen in even the latest MTK SoC. For Realme 6i it is "stuck screen" - have to screen off then reactivate the screen again. (Since 2014 100% of my smart phones were MTK) Easy to recover from from a catastrophic crash - just reflash the firmware again. And easier to "root". With all MTKs SoC shortcomings I'll still stick to it.

Anonymous, 29 Sep 2020Hi guys is it worth it to upgrade from Realme5 to Realme6i?... moreNo.
Realme 6i is better but if you want a note worthy upgrade, I suggest saving up for Realme 6 - or at least Realme 5 Pro or Realme 3 Pro.

For your Realme 5, performing a hard reset can fix most issues caused by updates.
                                      1. Back up data & Power off the phone.
                                      2. Press Power + Volume Down buttons till you're in Bootloader.
                                      3. Select Factory Reset/Wipe Data.(everything).
