Realme 8 5G's key specs officially revealed ahead of April 21 announcement
The Realme 8 5G arriving on April 21 in Thailand was recently confirmed to have two color options - Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue. And in a bid to build more hype around the smartphone, Realme has revealed a few specs of the Realme 8 5G.
The Realme 8 5G will be powered by the Dimensity 700 SoC and pack a 6.5" punch hole display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will be 8.5mm thin, weigh 185 grams, and ship with a 5,000 mAh battery.
One of the images shared by Realme also confirms the 8 5G will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, meaning the phone will use an LCD panel instead of AMOLED like its 4G counterpart.

Realme hasn't detailed the 8 5G's entire specs sheet yet, but it appears to be a rebranded V13 5G for global markets. If that's true, you can expect it to come with a FullHD+ display, 18W charging, and an 8MP selfie camera. The triple camera on the back will comprise a 48MP primary, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor units.
Realme is rumored to announce the 8 5G in India on April 22, and while the Indian division is yet to confirm the same, an event page on its website says the company will launch a Dimensity 700-powered 5G smartphone soon. The page doesn't mention the smartphone's name, but its URL tells us it's the Realme 8 5G.
