Realme GT 6 review

Design, build quality, handling

The Realme GT 6 is quite similar to the recent GT 6T, GT Neo6 and Neo6 SE models, available in China and India.

The GT 6 is a thin smartphone with a curved Gorilla Glass Victus 2 shield at the front, an interesting plastic back with symmetrical curves, and a plastic frame in-between. The device also offers IP65 protection against water and dust.

The Realme GT 6 is available in Fluid Silver (ours) and Razor Green colorways. Both offer predominantly matte paint with a glossy layer on top of it and mirror, yes mirror, part across the cameras serving both aesthetical and maybe a selfie viewfinder, too.

There are three camera rings jutting out of the back, making the phone wobble on a desk or table.

We appreciate Realme getting rid of flashy markings such as race lines.

Back to the front - it is home to the 6.78-inch LTPO OLED of high resolution and frame rate. The screen bezels are incredibly thin and even, and the punch hole for the selfie camera is nicely small.

There is an under-display fingerprint scanner placed around the bottom, which works almost flawlessly.

And just like on many other phones, the earpiece serves as a stereo speaker and has both front- and top-facing outlets.

Naturally, the other speaker is at the bottom of the GT 6.

The sides of the Realme GT 6

The Realme GT 6 measures 162 x 75 x 8.6 mm and weighs 199 grams, which is in line with phones with 6.8-inch displays. But it feels and looks super thin because of the curved design.

The plastic frame of the GT 6 is flat with sharp chamfers, which gives enough grip.

The mirror-part of the back looks incredibly nice, but it is a nightmare to keep clean.

Overall, we are happy with the Realme GT 6 design, we like its glossiness despite being a huge smudge magnet, and we only wish it had better ingress protection.
