The GT neo 5 has the snapdragon 8+ gen 1, slightly better camera and faster charging, but I do think the GT 5 se is the better option based on the lower price.

I was just looking at more phones and realized that another good option is the OnePlus Nord 3. My new options if I didn't buy this phone would be either the Neo GT5, OnePlus Nord 3, OnePlus 11R, Poco f5 or Asus ROG 6.

GT 5 se £240, GT 5 £300, one plus Nord 3 £350, OnePlus 11R £380 and Asus ROG £400. Im not totally keen on the look of the Asus but the big battery, fast charging, no punch hole in the oled screen, powerful specs and fantastic stereo speakers does appeal to me.

The only problem I have with all of these phones including this one is the aspect ratio. I'm not keen on the 20:9 ratio, this screen is supposed to be 6.7 inches but looks small compared to my 6.9" honor note 10.

But, at the price I paid for this phone, nothing beats it, based on a price to performance ratio.

This is my 4th phone purchased from China with a Chinese rom and I can honestly say it really isn't a big deal if the phone supports your language. After deleting the bloatware, Chinese apps and making a few changes it's just like using a phone with the global rom.

        The biggest benefit is the price, if you buy the phone with the global rom, its selling for a much higher price. Buying the chinese rom version will save you a lot of money.

          After checking on nano review and a few other websites, it seems the phone supports wifi 6 and 7. I also realized that there is no point worrying about it, unless your home router supports wifi 6, so buying a phone based on whether it supports wifi 6 isn't necessary. It will help with future proofing, once you upgrade your home router, but really isn't that big of a deal given the current speeds of home fibre broad band

          I have virgin broadband and it's extremely fast, I have no idea if it supports wifi 6 and even if it doesn't, I have super fast broad and that's all that really matters.

          If you're having doubts about this phone then try the Poco F5, the Vivo iqoo 11 or even the Asus ROG 6 which has a massive 6000mah battery, supports all the 5G 4G and 3G bands in the UK and has 65w fast charging.

          After this phone the next for me would be the Realme GT neo 5 or the Asus ROG 6 as it's selling for a good price, its extremely powerful, and is fully compatible with all the UK mobile networks.

                  I've had this phone for about a week, and I can honestly say, this is one of the best phones you can buy at this price. I paid £216 on Ali express, and it arrived at my front door in 11 days. The camera is fine for me, I don't need to take professional pictures. The the oled screen is beautiful and very bright. The Chinese rom is not a problem, after deleting most of the Chinese bloatware and changing a few things, it's like using a global rom phone.

                  The 5500mah is amazing and the charging speed is crazy fast. I charge the battery when it drops to 20% and stop charging when it's charged to about 92% full. I wasn't sure if I should have brought the Neo GT 5 instead because it has even faster charging speeds but without a doubt I made the right choice with the GT 5 se.

                  Also, the speakers are very loud and the sound quality is superb, very powerful phone. The price to performance ratio of this phone is UNBELIEVABLE AND UNBEATABLE

On the other hand Poco F5 has 3.5mm jack and sd card slot. I don't know about the camera honestly, but they're pretty much similar on everything else. Choose what fits you best between Realme UI and MIUI

                            i am using realme GT NEO 5 SE. The battery charger is very fast, in just 15 minutes the battery is fully charged. In addition, the screen of the machine is very fast, very smooth. The camera is very bad, the plastic shell and plastic frame make the device very light. But I am afraid because the manufacturer uses the screen made by tianma. manufactured tianma monitors are very susceptible to image retention and damage.

                              For the price to performance and features, you absolutely won't find a phone of this caliber anywhere at this price range. Phenomenal value.

                                Actually, the seller did put a realme v20 under the price of USD 49,93 to "help out", though, I didn't ask for it.
                                I think the chinese also due that possibly due to any exporting taxation.
                                Though, in case I'm wrong, it doesn't change the fact that if brazilian customs had done and accurate search over the package, they could've fined me due to that "unnacurate" declaration.

                                I bought it for 370usd with discounts - I bought the 12/512 version - over at Aliexpress, at a store called BLF Global store..

                                Yeah, I agree, I went for the Gt 5 neo especifically as it (Realme) seems to be following into Xiaomi's costxbenefit practices as they used in the past.
                                The camera seemed fine for me in some youtube videos, though, I did see some comments complaining about the camera, I'll try to get gcam if indeed I get bothered by the default camera app.

                                By the way, I bought a metal/aluminium case that is simply fantastic, I'm even bothered that I didn't buy two, it really gives a much more premium appearance to the plastic shell of the phone.

Everything was in English once I set the language and I just put the Chinese apps into a folder and never bothered with them. I live in a large city so I never had issues with the WiFi bands.

                                        The phone hasn't come yet so I'm not sure about the widevine level, as far as Play safe and voLTE, you will need to do some research.

                                        Maybe you should take a look at the Poco F5, I think Xiaomi will cover those Bands. The Poco F5 might be the safer option for you. 👍
