Throwaway420, 27 Oct 2021Realme x7 max or mi 11 lite ?Realme X7 Max any day. I mean what more can you get for INR 22.8K ($300, €266) in India? The phone got launched with a INR 30K ($400, €350) price tag some 6 months back, but during sales its price drops a lot.
A compact phone with powerful Mediatek Dimensity 1200 SoC right up there Snapdragon 865, not to mention sea of 12GB LPDDR4X RAM coupled with ultra fast 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
It is not a 5G phone for namesake, it actually has support for 7 bands and also dual 5G capability. Samsung's OLED@120 Hz display looks great on this mobile and supports 100% DCI-P3. Dolby Atmos Dual stereo speaker are a joy to use and seriously loud.
And thank LORD we get our beloved 3.5mm audio jack with HiRes support on this "FLAGSHIP KILLER".
4,500 mAh battery gives decent backup and the 50 watts charging tops it up in an hour. It also comes with WiFi 6 support and its performance is true flagship level. What I love about this phone is it compact pocketable size and manageable 179 grams weight.
Cellular reception quality is stellar, Realme got the basics right. No complains here. If there is anything to complain, it is its somewhat cheap looks, mainly the back panel. But the phone feels sturdy in hand, buttons provide great tactile feedback and weight distribution is also very good.

Opted for trail version 3.0. there are lot of issues visibly. There is no recent apps and home button in navigation. And power menu is not at all working. It is not displaying any options. Please don't opt for any trail versions.

How to get set up only some part of the screen should wake for notification on the lock screen. Similar to Samsung mobile notification on Samsung A50. I missed that feature. If I enable lock screen notifications then the complete screen gets awake. Since this is also an AMOLED display, we can expect this feature in this mobile.

We talking about dimensity 1200 that's competing with the likes of snapdragon 888 and totally blows snapdragon 732G (mi 11 lite) and 780G (mi 11 lite 5G) out of the water in all areas except battery life sustenance.
Lol mi 11 lite is nowhere on X7's level.

Same goes for its sub-brands Realme, OnePlus & Narzo. Standing in 2021 I am just thankful they were kind enough to at-least included an audio jack in Realme X7 Max.
Smartphones have pretty much taken over as the primary source of music for most people and smartphone manufacturers took this opportunity to kill the wired audio market so they could sell overpriced, mediocre wireless garbage to consumers.
I have Realme X2 Pro (12/ 256GB) which is considered by many the best smartphone to ever adorn a Realme tag. It is basically a OnePlus 7T at half the price, and Oppo never allowed this feat to be repeated again as it will become a direct clash between its sub-brands. Even X2 Pro's audio through headphone jack is just ok to me.
So If you want audio quality & headphone jack in a smartphone look for an used LG G8X, LG V40, LG V30+ (alas, LG is out of smartphone business) and that QuadDAC is simply awesome. Next are Vivo top-tier flagships like Vivo NEX S, audio quality is as sublime as
LG flagships.
