Anonymous, 01 Jan 2014The main screen just freezed on me yesterday on the 520. An... moreI've found that MixRadio causes sometimes the screen to turn itself off right after unlocking. Removed MR and that problem disappeared(so far). So I think the bugs are caused by individual apps in most cases, not by the OS itself.

There is no real comparison as Nokia is a Hardware beast where as Samsung is a beast in every dept..Apart from Maps, Battery and a slightly better Camera Nokia 1520 has absolutely no stand in front of Note 3 especially when it comes to the software package, enhancements , multitasking S-pen etc etc

This is a hands down victory for The Note 3. The 1520 is a nice device, but no true match here.

darknite, 01 Jan 2014Oh ok...i thought whatever good points you listed had the h... more"Slightly larger screen" in Lumia. I'm sorry..Is .3 inches more than slightly larger?
Did I say slightly more when I said "Boss battery life" for the Lumia? No.
The only other thing I said it for was sturdiness. So I said it for two things that were not massively bigger.
And in one scenario...sunlight. I said little better because both perform awesome under the sun, but 1520 just better...not outshines.
Again. Like I just said. I listed very good points of both. Like in display, smooth, build, and photography.
I neither exaggerated nor lied on anything. Just listed facts.
The Note just happens to have some more advantages as an overall package where the Lumia has some key advantages that I mention. Preferences I left out.
So again. Try an be real about it.

That was little appearing biased when i read...again i don't deny note3 features u have listed! Thanks for the wishes anyways! Have a good time!

Michael, 31 Dec 2013Microsoft VS Google: MICROSOFT PROS: ~Perfect keyboard ... moreBoth Google and Microsoft have security issues (massive with Google in reality), which of course you guys fail to mention as you are more interested in immaterial issues, such as scrolling. No wonder the debate goes south all the time and specs paranoia rules the intelligence of geeks.

AnonD-205970, 31 Dec 2013Haha good joke. Did you mean that oversaturated colors of a... moreMost IPS dispmays has someevel of saturation as well. So they are slightly saturated, lack in co trast, and show faded grey in place of black. While also going too high in the white balance... Do you know what that means? It's a far cry from this aclaimed "natural".
Where as Amoled people know up front what you get. And most people like the saturation. Especially in the real world. It's 99% online haters that complain about.
And it has color profiles that change the colors. Movie mode gives it natural colors. Also keeps the infinite contrast and deep true blacks. As well as scoring one of the best white balances you can get. Even better than almost and lcd. Do you know what that equates to? The most overall natural display you have ever see on a mobile or anything. Wherd as LCD just has slightly more natural colors and lacks every where else. And with the color profile advancements the colors will be the same as LCD soon... So wanna tdy your fanboy crap again?

I own one wp8 device and my brother has a nexus. Windows phone is not for those guys who don't have a WiFi connection or another phone with any other OS.

There are an easy choice. If look for a power house and need to do a lot things . Go for note3.
Because a mature android and apps with lot of possibility with open source.
For user just casual and not productivity, lumia 1525 is ok.
Just because it just have the ok apps and enough for daily use.
The worst thing about wp8 is not much customised and close system.
Finally, if call recording is important for you, go for note3, wp8 is not possible to provide this important feature for you.

While I like Windows Phone OS, the Note has S-Pen and support Miracast for screen mirroring onto HDTV are the two features that make me stay with the Note.

Not sure why there was no mention of the removable battery in the note 3 pros on Page 1. To me (and a lot of others) this a massive feature of the note 3. I have been camping for 5 days and won't run out of battery with a couple of spare batteries. (cue slow solar charger/battery pack comments).
