27 December 2013
We venture again into the realm of phablets, one that at the beginning seemed to promise little more than a short burst of action, has become the scene of some of the most thrilling battles this industry has seen. The showdown we’re about to witness...

Anonymous, 30 Dec 2013Trust me. I understand as well as you with the jealous hate... moreYes, i do agree with you and you know the reason behind comment for what we argued the previous day. Theres no denying tat 1520 is a top device. Wit latest chipset, a FHD display, and tat magnus battery life. And before reading the review, i thot camera section(still images) would be 1520's. Quite shocked to see the result. Nevertheless note 3 has performed well.

samsung phones build quality is ok but samsung phones feel so cheap, also from the top end to the lowest end all the phones carry the same design n no one can differentiate, it hurts bcoz paying so much premium for high end phone n when the low end phone also carries the same design, samsung phones really doesnt deserve the premium pice they command for their phones, on the other hand even the low end phone from nokia looks like a premium phone leave alone the high end phones from nokia

the only reason i use samsung phones is that am so addicted to "touchwiz user interface", cant live without "touchwiz" , its so simple n functional,
as long as samsung uses "touchwiz", i will continue using samsung phone even if how crappy n cheap their phones look.

Aadrian, 30 Dec 2013So good luck with your cheaply feeling note 3. The Lumia... moreCheap feeling is in ur thinking. Not in the phone. If nokia build seems good to you, for me it may not. I may prefer samsung's! Y ru guys so insecured? You guys were asking for a comparision b/w note 3 n 1520 ryt? And now that samsung has come on top, ur telling its nt a fair comparision?

I'm impressed with the 1520's battery stamina because of the WP8 OS. I'd get it if I was a regular joe for higher photographic functions.

I already got a Note 3 because of a Wacom digitizer for sketching and the productivity suite it can provide.

Nokia is stepping up its game at last. I hope to see them doing something to really rival the function concept of the Note series. I'd switch for what's the best.

Any Lumia you keep more then 2 years = still working fine and smooth.

Any iOS you keep more then 2 years = Latest updates / with lousy batt performance / lag abit.

Conclusion.. never stick with android.. your joy is short lived.

Especially as far the Note goes. However that's why most options are optional. You can even turn things off and use a different launcher if you like.

Nice review, for me former Android user I prepared Windows OS,BB10 OS or expensive iOS in term of smoothness, but in terms of free apps, movies format, more ringtones to download no one can beat Android:)

But wp8 is smoother as in smoother... not as in Android is not. And custom roms being something of crap?? Or being needed???

What I was trying to say is that I'm kinda confused about the display tech that is all, I mean I have a L820 and compared it in sunlight with N3 and mine was a lot better so...... why assertive display IPS w/ CRB is even worse then L820 and L720 and other phones? Sometimes tech confuses me how it works

If Note 3 run WP8 I might think about it. Lumia 1520 all the way. WP8 is super reliable and extremely smooth with 1GB of RAM or more. No need for that custom rom crap.

Anonymous, 30 Dec 2013Now that is just lame pathetic jealousy. Not really, the note 3 is not like the phones I mentioned. And do you know why? Because of the s pen feature. The phones I mentioned are all lacking that functionality that sts the note 3 apart. Therefore, there not operating in the same competition at all. So by saying my comment is just jealousy, you're very wrong.

The difference in sensor and results shows lacking in the camera on this Lumia. I love the PurView tech and it is still a great camera...Maybe Nokia still needs to add some software tuning to it.
Never the less it's not very logical to blame it on "trying to let Samsung win".
