I just upgrade my phone from a Samsung D600 to a SEK800i. I loved the D600. It was very user-friendly. The K800i without a doubt has a superior quality camera. The flash is incredible and takes very clear photos in pitch black darkness. However, the joystick takes some getting used to. It sometimes skips to options you're not after. I can't hear my text messages come through. When I want to get a number, it dials the person instead of giving me the number. Maybe it takes getting used to butI am in two minds to swap it for the D900 coz it sounds like it is similiar to the D600. I am just concerned about its battery life and the fact that the display is prone to cracking.Someone please help me make up my mind! Should I keep this phone or exchange it for the D900??

I think N73 shows better pics details than others , & good colors , also in low light it is not bad .
the price almost like K800 (2900 L.E for N73 , 2950 L.E for K800 in EGYPT) , I think i will go for N73

I own a N73 and yet at low light, I still have my problem getting pictures, specialy when in moving scene or state. I think that N73 is best for daylight shot while K800 is for Nighttime.
So if I were you,buy the both.

Having neither of these phones ... and just looking at the pics I would say that the N73 has deeper colour and more definition. But sometimes the pics are a bit dark in low light. N73 would be the one I would choose.

I have owned all three of these phones and for various reasons had to take them back. However, i can provide this summary on my experience.
k800 camera is best. If you don't let the automatic settings run it can take the best pictures end of story. Also viewing pictures and movies is made easier by their lovely interface.
n73 camera is pretty damn close, and unless you are serious about photography you wont notice much difference except possibly extremely low light situations. The symbian os is awesome now most bugs worked out, but can be a bit slow. Camera cover less prone to opening as the k800s does all the time.
finally, d900 is ok, but camera worst of all. Still really good considering it's a phone first, camera second. Menu system is just horrible thou and after all the prettiness of the other two i could not stand it.
video on k800 is worse than d900 which is worse than n73, but remember that these are phones and none is what i would refer to as bad.
i'm keeping the n73, but it was a very very difficult decision!

I have a d900 and its very good the photos are similar than k800 and it have a better display the videos are in CIF(352x288) much better than k800 QCIF(176x144)similar W810i and I prefered this because it is more cheap and it have 512mb and de M2 is expensive.
D900 don´t have radio and infrared but is more cheaper €100 aproximatly. N73 is the best becuase have symbian 9.1 and a good quality video and photos, I recently have had a N90 and it is similar except fot photos. I recommend first the NOKIA N73 then de SONY ERICSSON K800i and then de SAMSUNG SGH-D900.

SE K800i flash is very powerful.
Nokia N73 has CARL ZEISS TESSAR Lens.
I think Nokia N73 beats 2 phones(SE K800i,Samsung D900)

I have both phones. so i know both. I'll get to the point, N73 in certain points has the edge over SEK800i BUT the best about SE is that it has a XENON flash. I dont need a light torch, i'll leave that to others, but in poor lighting conditions, SE can topple down N73, and it is this very reason that I gave away my N73 to a family member.
If your serious with pictures then you would know what I mean, real flash is always important for images that you want to capture clearly.
Now if you want a better video camera, then go get a real one and not a phone. A real vid cam is still better.
But for a camera phone, then SE is you definite choice, not unless you want dark black spotted images at night. Carl Zeiss or not, SE is still better overall

Hi,
It's nice to have such a comparison. According to MY assessment, Nokia N73 beats them both. It has quite a brilliant resolution that I have fallen in love with. No hard feelings on the other brands what so ever. They too are quite excellent makes that you would not be disappointed with.

Hi!
I hope that quality of this photos is so bad becouse of photographer. Personally i have k750i and photos are 3 times better than this from k800i, d900 and N73. Maybe this photos are compressed to much? It's looks realy bed - only resolution is impressive but quality the same like in my old Motorola E398@E1 (with vga camera)

Ok lets face it the majority of people here are just saying which they have chosen for their own phone. It's not just about brand loyalty immaturely stating which one 'rules'> Judge the sample photo's for yourself!!!!! Personally I have owned all of these phones and have judged the processed pictures for myself. I wont say which one i have kept but i will say that the best pictures come from the K800i. The reason for this is all photos are similar between the phones however the flash on the k800i gives the best quality pics when you are actually going to use the photo function, for instance, a night out with friends, a party, a day with the family these are the times you will use it. esp indoors.

Nokia Simply rulzzzz!!!! it has carl zeiss lens which is the best and this can be seen......also the cyber-shot digicams use zeiss lens but there is no carl zeiss lens in k800i...and furthermore quality is much more important than the price.....and lastly the shape of k800 suxxxx and nokia always roxxxx!!!!
