Nokia N73 vs. Samsung D900 vs. SE K800: Photo samples

hey guys. just wanna ask. the cybershot cams of sony have carl zeiss tessar vario lenses. does the k800 cybershot also have that lens? coz im getting sick of these nokia fanatics always talking about their carl zeiss lens. thanks guys. oh and it's... k800, n73, d900. ciao.

K800 sucks for its night mode
---->> hey Sopnil. Watch what you're gonna say alright? please man. the k800 doesn't even have a night mode coz it got the xenon flash. so what does it need the night mode for? please man. let's talk intelligently.

1st K800 colours appear natural
2nd n73 pictures are vivid and clear but colours are over-emphasised (the same problem was there in the 6270/6280 among 2 megapixel camera phones)
3rd D900 pictures are far behind the other two in terms of both clarity and colours (too dull)

Thank you for this detailed information/comparison, I hope you will do it again with other models!!
It's really important, to see with your own eyes photos shot under real conditions, because the thoughts about the quality is very subjetiv (see the previous comments).
For me is it clearly, the D900 do the best work. The photos are really detailed! Ok, the colors are a little bit flat, but every cheap photo programm can push up the colors, but the lost details in the photos from the N73/K800 shots you never get back!!
Please don't stop to show the reality and everybody, can find what he is looking for ;)

n73 is trying too hard to adjust the colours. way too bright. that's y it's not good in taking pics of objects that are already bright in colour. it smudges the whole thing

Hi folks, I feel personally Nokia stands out as a multi - utility fone since it has a symbian platform which makes it almost as a palmtop handheld multimedia device. Coming back to picture quality SE stands out as it is real and more clearer as quite visible from the snaps on the website. Also the music player is good and better than Nokia.
Since I own Nokia N73 I'll tell some tips that might help u in taking better snaps during night.
Siimply switch to night mode --> select the flash mode as automatic or On. U'll see a vast difference in the lighting and hence the camera pic. Set the exposure compensation to -1 and the problm of the purple color would be removed significantly. But the lighting condns should be good on the given day. If it's cloudy then normal one would do. the color is more vibrant on the N73 fone. Those guys who have N73 can make some minor changes and stop ridiculing the lens. Minor adjustments can bring out photos that SE can even not think about. But there r always some pros and cons in a fone. there is some problm with the firmware of the N73. I would say better wait 4 sometime as an update would vastly improve the stabilty on the phone and those who r impatient look for other options. Thank U

My choice will obviously be SE K800. You guys have to take into the fact that N73 doesn't take good pics in darker places like pubs, bars, discos and nightclubs as compared to SE K800 which performs a lot better :)

The SE K800i is by far the best... come on, you all know it's true, even the owners of the other phones. Admit it, it kicks so much butt that it is not even a fair test.

the k800i doesn't need a night mode cause its flash is way too good.
the pics of k800i is clearly better(open to full view). the n73 smudges the corners of some of the photos but k800i doesnt.

I dunno y the purple flower looks like that by N73...It is maybe bcuz of some other criteria including the person who takes the pics...But if u look through all the other pics it is clearly visualised that N73 pics are the clearest for their better and even light distribution while K800 sucks for its night mode and I had not any good experience with night time pics or videos by my D900.
For all other specifications we all know none can stand beside Nokia though my D900 has the unique U2GO mode with its the sleekest outlooking, lightest weight (85g) with allmost everything (all the necessary options for a modern phone).
I have very less idea bout K800 except the coolest cybershot camera with it and definitely better looking then N.

And if u wanna know why the k800i wins, open the images in full view that is at the same place that are taken by the n73 and k800i then u will see k800i better.

I think the k800i takes better pictures. those who say the building pic n73 take better, let me tell u that the real colour of the building is the colour from the k800i. the n73's pics are unreal especially those from the park. the colours are unreal and too vibrant. the k800i wins the camera but it lacks symbian which is cool and sony ericsson joystick not so good. i will still get the k800i :D

With regards to the photos, i believe the k800i has a better mixture of camera quality than N73 & D900. Just my own opinion thats all. But on thing the N73 lack is the A2DP function whereas the other 2 phones possess this new technology which is pretty useful.

Nokia N73 for sure. The flower picture doesn't mean anything! I mean look at the buildings...the k800i has trouble with the colours...so it's basically even in terms of colour troubles.
Nokia N73 - 9.5/10
Samsung D900 - 7/10

y r u guys all talking jus abou that PURPLE flower, y not compare to other PICs. yes with no doubt, i agree that K800 win in that purple flower pic but other than that ALL other PICs, N73 beats K800 hard. N73 beats K800 in camera and even in features.....

its true about the flower. but the night mode evens it out. zoom is the least
