i think the n73 photos can be better worked if you played a little with its functions, just so to correct the colours by a little. By far, it has to be the clearest amongst them 3 phones!

I would like to say Nokia takes better shots, i have always stuck by and used nokia phones and still will because i mainly use them for there primary purpose talking on, however after looking at these pictures i would have to say that the Sony takes better photos, not to keen on the D900s photos.

I alm0st read all the c0mments p0sted here....i realised that m0st of the c0mments are fr0m ppl that have had a certain liking to a particular f0ne,thats why they all say this outbeats that f0r sure....
      Ok heresmy p0int of view...ive h0nestly used n0kia f0nes since i was in 6th grade...used s0ny ericss0n to0..and als0 samsung once...umm heres the dark side of all...n0kia stands out in s0ftware pr0blems...s0ny stands out cuz of its menu..its weird h0nestly..and n0t easy to get used to...samsung's g0t p0wer pr0blems.....and when it c0mes to camera...c'm0n face it everyb0dy..n0kia was the 1st commercial f0ne to have a built in camera[7650]...and then SE decided to do the same..foll0wed by samsung ,m0torolla,i.mate and all the others.....in my eyes....the n0kia n-70 was the m0st succesful f0ne of al the n-series...i upgraded my s0ftware and sensibly used my m0bile and it was like a c0mputer with a 3.2pr0cess0r and 1GB of ram...when it c0mes to s0ny..i think they always try t0 challenge n0kia...in the k800i theres stuff like ph0to DJ,video DJ & music DJ...in n0kia's language...photo edit0r and video editor[started off in 6630] & c0mp0ser,that was started in n0kia 3310 lol........s0 herez the thing...and hey,i think n0kia c0pied samsung with the c0mp0ser thing...there was a time when ppl used to buy samsung f0r its p0lyf0nic ringt0nes.....and then s0ny decides to c0py all that shit.....heres my c0mments ab0ut the ph0t0's i b0thered myself to view.....each one of them f0nes stands out in diff. ways.....s0ny's camera is better off in darkness cuz of the flash....n0kia's camera is better in outdo0rs and m0rning.....d900 didnt enter my mind...its like saying [IM TRYNA BEAT THESE 2 F0NES BUT I DUN0 H0W]...and umm i personaly LOVE the new k800i but if i need a l0ng life user-friendly f0ne to satisfy all my needs i'd g0 f0r the n-73...and yes every1 i kn0w...i will have to go and update my s0ftware...but then after that...ill have a gr8 f0ne f0r everything....n0w sum1 plz appreciate all what i wr0te....this was to0 much....h0pe to have made a point hwere though..thx f0r readin

since the day i bought my k800, it never failed to impress me with its pictures. be it in daylight, nightmode, or even document pix. its so nice! dont forget the best pic mode, even with your shaking hands, there's no sweat in taking pictures. i expanded the memory with a 1 gig memory card, and it made a good mp3 player. Cool!!!

        i love k800i!!!

If Sony Ericsson where that nice and affordable their sales wouldnt be going down faster than a plane in crash course... Comparing the number 6 company in the world (its actually much bigger than the stand-alone Sony) to that pityful company named Sony Ericsson is just a joke... which is making me LMFAO!!!

Do all of you have a 20/20 vision? Look at the pictures again. Look at the reality of their colors. Look at the brightness. Now, tell me.. Who has the brighter image between the 3 phones?

I may not possess any of those phones but I can very much distiguish which is which..

For me, Nokia N73 wins the match this time.

samsung d900 stands out....the pix are realistic unlike the n73 tooo bright and exagerated and the se looks like the colors are dark what wud u xpek from se...dull colors as usual.the design again goes to samsung not a brick and a boring design would beat that.i am not being bias its just that its my opinion.SAMSUNG has the quality and se,nokia has maybe the quantity?

The SE K800i wins hands down to any other 3.2MP phone in the market!!
I have personally compared the SE K800i with the N73 as well as the N93 -- don't know about the Samsung (since i do not trust Samsung phones) -- and looking at the photo quality -- I can assure you that the SE K800i is far better, even better than the N93!!!!
The flash of this phone is amazing!! The software is very stable and overall the phone does not have any issues.
Working in 3, where we sell the SE K800i as well as the N73 -- I can tell you that the N73 has a lot of s/w issues -- and also the camera quality is not very good -- infact -- the camera quality is same as of my SE W700i phone which has got a 2MP camera!!
So from all aspects -- the SE K800i wins hands down and is one of the best camera phones available today!!!

In my opinion the SE K800i wins hands down as the nokia's as still suffering OS issues and keep locking up, crashing and doing random things, a collegue and i got one of each at the same time and he only lasted 3 days before he switched to the SE.. poor old Nokia, i used to swear by them, now i swear at them... ohhhh and my collegue and i both work for a major network/phone provider in the UK

Owning several canon digital slr's and have taken over 10000 photo's, not owning either of these phones I can say they all do a pretty decent job in capturing images. More so the k800 model phone. With some postprocessing that phone is good. The Nokia has wrong color and plenty of fringing, suprising considering the Zeiss optics. The samsung does an average job and requires some cleaning to get the best.
                    K800i 7/10
                    Nokia 5/10
                    samsung 4/10
My little pentax optio 3mp does a much better job.......hmmm
                    I own a motorola phone....:>(

Really this time camera champion is SEK800. Stop denying the fact that SEK800 flash is the strongest. N73 had a good job done but overall still loses to SEK800 and Samsung D900 tried to work harder to produce a perfect phone like SEK800 and N73

definitely sony ericsson K800i is ahead among samsung D900 and nokia N73 because of its advantage in zoom and flash(xenon flash)and also the quality of the sound.combination of digital camera and phone itself.i really luv sony ericsson compared to others.

Samsung D900 is out of the camera race so left the N73 and K800
Overall Winner is K800 as it xenon flash is 10000000 times stronger than the N73 led flash

I think this is a batlle betwen Nokia an SE(I think thatn73 is better) , samsung d99 loses 1, no comparation with quality of nokia and SE photos.

                              Only for you people!!!

i don't quite agree i think the Nokia took better shots, the SE is not far behind though. meanwhile, the samsung is far far behind in image quality. am certain the SE will beat the nokia when it comes to sound. but the nokia takes it all when you look at functionality

Looking at the detail form the 3 cameras SEK800 is significantly better than N73 and slightly better than D900 at resolving detail.
One example is the sign above the car: Bankomat. You can see that Nokia smudges the K but with the K800 it is distinguishable.http://www.mobilmania.cz/Files/Obrazky/art20/3Mpx/Nokia_N73//09.jpg.
This pattern repeats for all details in all pictures; look for far away writing to see it.
Also the Nokia is the worst at anti-aliasing (look at the jagged edges on slanted straight lines such as top of buildings:
http://www.mobilmania.cz/Files/Obrazky/art20/3Mpx/Nokia_N73//06.jpg. This is probably for poorer lens and too much post processing.

The colors for N73 look ok, definitely better than the D900 who's colors are too washed out, but this is again from heavy post processing. You can see in the picture in the park with the yellow flowers how the yellow is oversaturated and overexposed: http://www.mobilmania.cz/Article/BigImgGSMNew.asp?path=%2FFiles%2FObrazky%2Fart20%2F3Mpx%2FNokia_N73&file=%2F29.jpg
At least for this shot the K800 looks imensly better:
