I suppose the N73 wins, but looks at what it does with the trees!!
It's horrible, same with the K800i.
Only the D900 seems to show the proper details of the tree branches.

My point of view , is 3.2Mp with autofocus doesn't bring real add value, 2 Mp was about the same, the question seem to be more about sensor sensibility and noise , than resolution capacity. after 1 month with N80 i thing the quality was better with sunny wether( without autofocus )even if not pefect.
So conclusion still too far from my old canon IXUS V3 with 3.2Mp.
I will wait for next generation

n73 wins i think from an ordinary people's eye point of view...i didn't look to much on those details thingy...but overall at first sight n73 really wins coupled with symbian os.k800 is very good too.but the picture are too soft for me and less shaper compared to n73.who cares to over processed thingy done my n73?when printed no one wud care if the purple thingy something is bad...or the detail is not too good...just look at picture plainly.when printed i guess n73 will produce a lot more decent pixs...more sharper, more colorful (sometimes over"but no doubt k8 is also gud a .5 difference between the two" after all it is s.e.'s flagship when it comes to cam phone whch they are very good )but compared to k8 pixs undoubtely more normal people wud choose n73 except ofcourse those who are very loyal to s.e.

Three phones that have a good camera, but i think the experience of SE in digital cameras on handsets it's a little advanced beside the rest of his competitors.

From the posted pictures, I can conclude that the N73 capture the best outdoor shots among the three. The color is much more real & much less white out for those sky/clouds pictures.

its earlier firmware the n73 actually took better pictures you people are blamming a flower... just ONE PICTURE doesn't make the k800 better fans... one winning position its clearly seen you like it OR NOT. you say nokia pictures are overprocessed, sony ericsson pictures are blurry, macro pictures are not taht good either. don't get your impression of ONE pictures, check them all.

I have 1 question for gsmarena. In the very first shootout between Nokia 7610 and SE S700 you make a conclusion:
We experienced very rough conditions for comparison of the megapixel camera phones; we had not enough time; moreover, because of the lack of experience with the mobile at many pictures we didn't realized that the Spot metering is activated, which led to too bright photos. Anyway, the difference is visible: Sony Ericsson features a bit higher resolution, incomparably more possibilities of parameters setting and the pictures overall are noticeably better.
In the secont shoot-out between Nokia N90 and SE K750i you also made a conclusion:
We can't do anything but announce the winner - Sony Ericsson W800, respectively K750
The third and the thirth shootout were more "careful", with almoust no conclusion, while the last one, this one, has "no comments of yours" at all.
Why `? Is it some company which make pressure or you became more careful ?
P.S. Can somebody comment on my msg ?
Thanks,
Senukas

k800 won in all categories especially at night, simply because of the xenon flash... so what are the nokia guys telling about the xenon flash, that it's not important? well see for yourself!!!

I think that the K800i has got the best pictures and the d900 is far away from it so at first k800i second n73 and third is d900

I wonder if anyone realises the N73 and K800i are both huge phones, too big for my pockets, so for me the SAMSUNG D900 wins it for fitting the camera in a much smaller device. You could carry the d900 and a proper digital camera and it'll still be smaller in total than the other two. The are all good cameras, but D900 wins coz it's in a phone half the size of theothers and doesnt have any mice lens or focus, still good pics. Well done samsung, catch up Nokia, we dont want bigger phones!

disregard the oppinions given by old dears who got no idea what a camera is or how it works
the D900 is 3rd best here, just not good enough to be compared to the other 2
the K800 has the best pictures, both k800 and n73 take very sharp and clear pictures however the k800 CAPTURES THE COLORS MORE REALISTICALLY, watch the pic with the shop with the orange thing above it, see how the n73's picture is allmost cartoon-ish.
the winner, by a beesdick, is the k800.

I'm having a hard time deciding which I think is best. They all seem to have pros and cons. The D900s images seem a bit washed out and pale; and yet the others look a bit like wax crayon with little blobs of colours.
P.S.
The 7250i has a 352 x 288 camera (thats 0.1 megapixel) which makes it incredibly lame and can no way be compared to these 3.2 megapixel cameras.

The differences in terms of overall quality between the N73 and K800i are negligible. However, if the benchmark of the quality of a camera has to do with its ability to capture a scene as accurately and as closely as possible, then undoubtedly the K800i is the clear winner.
The pictures produced by the N73 appear sharper and more vivid, simply because it overprocesses them. Have you seen the radioactive neon-blue flower? The water droplets are deformed. Look at the pictures of the yellow and purple flowers in the park as well. The overprocessing and abnormally high-contrast produced by the N73 causes the yellow flowers to look almost white. Also, against clear skies, the highlights are all obviously overblown.
