Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 review: By the dozen

07 February 2014
Samsung's pole position in smartphones doesn't necessarily mean a win in tablets but it sure is an advantage and the Koreans won't give up on it easily. The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is standing at the very top of a lineup, whose fourth generation has hit the fast...

"The Apple iPad Air does go 40 minutes longer on the web test and three hours more on the video test, but the same screen size considerations apply."
    ***
Not quite the same screen size considerations:

The iPad has a 4x3 screen ratio, which makes it's screen surface area a bit larger than the 16x9 or 16x10 tablets.

Plus a 4x3 screen ratio is much better IMO for web browsing, document reading, etc.., which are the things most of us do on a tablet.

Good review but please don't start a review of a 12.2 inch tablet with a "some will find it too big".
This type of comment seems to imply that there is something wrong with anything that is a tablet and is more than a 6"inch display.
It really is irrelevant and would be better worded in the positive eg. "for those that find 10.1 inch tablets small then this 12.1inch may be just the ticket".

At this price i will buy anytime an 13" ultrathin ultrabook anytime, with full size usb 3.0, ssd, windows 8.1, office, flash player compatible, hundred of peripherals gadgets compatible. Tablets with ios and android and windows rt are good only in 2 scenarios: at wc and at restaurant. Useless devices. Or maybe kids

                Very worthy indeed.

But in the beginning GSM lists the Exynos as being 1.5Ghz A-15 and also they say it runs on 4.3 when reviewing the Software side of things.

I wonder how GSMArena reviewers felt when they stood beside the street using such a huge thing to take some camera sample for their review.

Anonymous, 07 Feb 2014No 64 bit. Too heavy. Too expensive. Disappointing. 64bit processors won't be available on samsung devices till 4Gb ram is produced.thus you would see the potential of 64bit processing.apple for nw is the only one to have a 64bit processor but nt enough ram to even show the capabilities of 64bit processing

GSMarena was testing older prototype, thus having "recent app key" missing, it has older design of notification area and, of course, Magazine UX is missing.

I don't see the magazine ux and the capacitive button is still the older one the guy was right this is a pre production unit , still love this tablet

Can't believe that Samsung removed Magazine UX, it's a huge scandal, an obscenity off Google. Why this? Why we were deprived of a better interface and forced to stay with this dysfunctional crap that Google recommends?

If I had mad an preorder I would sue both.
